[I just had a thought. Would Pika be Satoshi's Pikachu's mother in Down a Different Path? Because Skye is from Satoshi's universe in that AU, so Pika being Pikachu's mother could be a possiblity, and I like the idea of Skye introducing Pika to Satoshi for the first time, and Pika sees Pikachu and freaks out.
Thank goodness I'm feeling better today, and of course as soon as I feel better, I'm right back on track with travel buddy things gdi me]
Satoshi had been eating absent-mindedly his Pocky when suddenly a wild Gary appeared. To say Satoshi was surprised would be an understatement, if his flushed face was anything to go by.
Then, of course Gary asked for it. A small frown formed, his eyes almost crossed to look at where his boyfriend had bitten his Pocky. Well then.
Kalos, Where Dreams and Adventures Begin || Episode 1 || Down A Different Path;;
“. . .Satoshi, please git aff me.” Skye grumbled, frowning as he was pushed into his seat by a rather overexcited best friend and Pikachu of his and ignored as if he wasn't there at all.
What a great way to start a journey. Welcome to Kalos, Skye. Have your friend smothering you to look out the window to see the airport and city below. This wasn't really a good place to be when you enter a new region, but whatever, it's just how they worked for them.
No new region had an easy or steady start. Like for instance, when they head to Hoenn, Pikachu contracted the Electric Flu after being trapped against a powerful magnet and had nearly imploded.
Next time, he's getting' da windae seat, he growled in his head, turning his head to look past Satoshi to give Alexa a pleading look. She just smiled at him, making him huff. Excuse me, Alexa, but cin yae help me befur ah suffocate? Yae widnae wanna be da wan in dis position becuz ma lungs ir ready tae die.
Send me a “Grab” and I’ll write a drabble about one character grabbing the other and kissing them
"What do you mean you don’t know how to dance?" The brunet perked up from the other side of the table. They had just finished up eating their supper and were about to clean up when Satoshi brought up another event coming up [man this kid sure knew a lot of people]. It was going to be held at the dance hall in Ecruteak City, a masquerade ball of sorts. Apparently most of the gym leaders had been invited and while Gary wasn’t Shigeru someone would still have to take his place, and Satoshi couldn’t very well go to a dance alone.
"I never learned," the gym leader shrugged and played with his fork. "Never had a reason to."
"Didn’t your mom ever teach you? Have you never even went to a dance? You have to have danced once in your life."
"Well, I mean, I can dance…like the Macarena…or the Electric Slide."
"Uhg…" Gary rolled his eyes, his forehead connecting with his palm in a loud slap. "That’s not dancing Satoshi, that’s acting like a dork." Without a moments hesitation the brunet got up from the table, hurriedly walking into the living room.
"Hey…where are you going?" The raven-haired trainer quickly followed suit, watching as Gary began moving tables and chairs, clearing the living room of everything it had.
"Mind helping?" Gary quizzed as he struggled pushing the rather large couch up against the wall.
"Mind telling me what’s going on?" Satoshi gave a quick answer as he stood beside the other, shoving the pice of furniture with relative ease.
"Were teaching you how to dance."
"What?! But, you don’t need to do that. I’m probably not going to go anyway, i’d rather spend my time off here with yo-"
"I’m going with. It’ll be fun. Dances are always great fun, especially ones like that. Come on just at least entertain me for the moment and play along even if you don’t want to."
"Nnn, fine." Satoshi rolled his eyes. He always though dancing was a girly thing to do. Not that he’d say it out loud, and especially with Gary treating the subject so seriously.
The brunet smiled and ran back to the bedroom, retrieving Satoshi’s laptop before popping it open, searching up some music and plugging it into the speakers of his stereo system. “Alright,” the brunet started, pulling the boy into a position. Satoshi’s left hand on Gary’s shoulder and his right held the brunets free one, while Gary set his own left hand on Satoshi’s hip. “This is how you usually start out, and then you just sway to the music.” He smiled, giving the boy a bit of a warm up before he turned on the music, just to get used to the footwork.
They danced like that in silence for a while before Satoshi stepped on Gary’s foot. “S-sorry.” He jumped, staring down at his feet, trying to make sure he knew where they were going. At least until Gary yanked his chin back up.
"Don’t look at your feet. The more you think about it the clumsier you’ll get. You just gotta relax and go with the flow." He chuckled, allowing their bodies to drift across the living room. After a while they soon stopped and Gary went to start up the music, taking note of the nervous look on Satoshi’s face. "What are you so nervous about?"
"Well, what if I mess up?" The boy frowned. "I’m kinda clumsy at times and it sounds like you take this really seriously."
The researcher sighed and pushed play on the music. He grabbed the others hand and pulled him in close, pushing a kiss to his lips. “Just follow my lead and you’ll be fine. Trust me, once you get into it everything’ll just come naturally.”
Satoshi’s cheeks flushed a little from the sudden kiss, Gary’s words ringing in his ears. With a light sigh he gave in, resting his hands in the position whey were before. “I trust you.” He smiled back, allowing himself to follow the brunet.
What started out as five minuets turned to fifteen, then fourty-five and by the end of it all they were pushing an hour and a half of spinning, twirling, and flowing around the living room as if it was their own personal stage. “See Sato, you’re a natural!” The brunet smiled as he let Satoshi spin outwards.
"I think it’s more because I have such a good teacher." He chuckled, whirling himself back into the brunet who caught him, not realizing the big shocker Gary had in store for him when he landed back in the others chest. With a yelp Satoshi was swiftly flung downwards, clamping his eyes shut and clinging to the researchers shoulders as he was dipped down. It took him a second to open his eyes once more, finding himself staring right back into jade orbs. His head and upper back cradled safely in Gary’s arm.
The professor snickered lightly as he looked at Satoshi’s completely petrified face. “See, I told you to trust me.” He sighed and gently touched their noses together.
"A-I did! I just…didn’t expect that." He chuckled breathlessly and sighed, leaning up to push his dance partner his own kiss.
"Pika Pii-ka!""Broen!"
Both trainers jumped at the sound of their pokemon, detaching from one another yet still in the same position they looked over towards the couch where both Umbreon and Pikachu had been seated for who knows how long. “Uhh…I didn’t know we had an audience.” Satoshi chuckled nervously, hoisting himself back up into a standing position.
"What do you guys think?" the brunet smiled to their pokemon. "You think Satoshi’s is good enough to go to that ball?"
"Pika Pikachu!" Pikachu hopped up happily, obviously agreeing with Gary’s statement.
"See Satoshi, even Pikachu likes your dancing." His eyes half lidded and a snarky grin grew on his face, hand outstretched for the other. "What do ya say partner," he giggled, "can I have this dance?"
The blush on Satoshi’s face was made apparent for the up-tenth time that night. His arm reached out, gently folding together with his lovers.
Send me a “Tickle” and I’ll write a drabble about character discovering the other is ticklish
It was always Gary who announced tickle war’s. Sure they were rather few and far between but he always loved getting revenge for something by grabbing Satoshi by the sides, ticking the gym leader till he begged Gary to stop. The sound of Sato’s laughter was music to his ears, and the aftermath of it all where they’d just sit [or stand] there and cuddle was the part he loved the most.
So, what would you do if you were in Satoshi’s shoes and had the perfect opportunity to declare war on the usual instigator? What do you think? Of course he took the opportunity, why wouldn’t he?
Somehow Satoshi [as if by magic] had managed to wake up before the brunet that morning and was beginning to grow rather bored. He tried to wake the brunet up be he just rolled onto his stomach, arms raised up to hold his pillow, leaving his sides venerable. Oh how the devil would be proud of the evil grin that grew on the gym leaders cheeks, just thinking how fun it would be. The trainer steadied himself above the researcher, taking his time to prepare himself before eventually…
Bam!
His arms shot straight for Gary’s sides, sitting on his legs so the boy couldn’t move. Gary’s eyes snapped open as he jumped, trying to kick his legs hoping to get away. “S-S-Sato!” He screeched, unable to hold back his laughter, flailing like he was a Magikarp or something. “S-Sato wh-what the hell!” He managed to spout out through his intense giggling. He let out a loud yelp as Satoshi’s hands moved south, soon reaching his hips, probably the most sensitive area on his whole body, minus his ears. “S-Sato no not there! Damnit stop!” He cracked up, clawing at the bedsheets, tears forming in his eyes.
“Come ooonnn, say it." Satoshi piratically sang, doing the exact same thing to Gary as the older boy did to him.
"Never!" The brunet shouted through his laughter. Yeah that didn’t last long at all. Not even two minuets later Gary was breathlessly shaking his head. "Alright A-alright! I give I give, p-please s-s-stop!" He begged as Satoshi finally let go, laughing just as hard as the other by this point. He plopped back into the bed facing the palentologist who slowly rolled to face his assalant, still laughing even after the tickeling has stopped.
"Morning sleepy head." The raven grinned, yelping lightly as Gary pulled him close.
"You jerk." Gary chuckled back, burrying his head in the others soft hair. Kissing down his head until he ended with a soft peck to the others lips. "I’ll get you back for that."
"Hmm, we’ll see about that." The younger purred, sharing another gentle kiss with his partner.
[So yeah since Gary kinda has Sato it’s going to be Gary and Sato, not really Gary and Ash, whoops]
Send me a “Sorry” and I’ll write a drabble about one character apologizing to the other
It just happened to be wrong place, wrong time. He really didn’t mean to say those hurtful things, it was more of less lack of sleep putting Gary in a rather irritable mood.
He had been reading a book, trying to get all the little things off his mind when Satoshi had waked in. He knew the younger boy was just concerned about him. One look at the brunet and you could tell he wasn’t getting enough sleep, and his health was most likely suffering right along with it.
"Gary please, you need some sleep." The gym leader wore a rather concerned frown as he tried to push the book down.
"I’m perfectly fine Satoshi, I told you before." He scowled back.
"Oh yeah you’re so perfectly fine.”
"I am, i’ve told you plenty of times, what more do I need to possibly say?"
"Uhg… quit being so stubborn. If your not going to listen to your body at least listen to me."
"How am I being stubborn I told you i’m fine!"
"You need sleep, I can tell by just looking at you! Stop acting like some tough guy! You have limits just like everyone else and I don’t want to see you sick!"
"You’re not my dad!" The brunet shouted back, his teeth grit. "You don’t tell me what to do! You don’t even understand why the hell I can’t sleep so why don’t you mind your own damn business and look after yourself!"
It didn’t take rocket science to know Gary’s sharp tongue went a bit too far. That fact was written plain as day on Satoshi’s face. The younger boy flinched and took a step backward, feeling his heart ache a bit. He was only looking out for Gary’s health. “I-…I’m sorry for caring then.” He mumbled, hiding behind his wild black locks, backing out the door and hurrying off to the living room.
It took Gary a while to realize what he’d just done. His heart sank as he thought back on the cold words he just threw at his boyfriend. Something really must have been wrong with him if he was that irritable. “Ohh jeez…look what you did now you big…” the brunet paused to take a travel through all the derogatory terms in the dictionary of his mind. Finally settling on the word “jackass.”
He sat there for a while, contemplating if he should go out there yet. He didn’t want to wait too long and make Satoshi worry, but he didn’t want to go out there too soon and have Satoshi not even talk to him. “Ten minuets.” He sighed, staring up at the clock. He’d go out there in ten minuets, that should be enough time. And boy did those ten minuets feel like an eternity.
The researcher finally emerged from the study, quietly pattering his way out to the living room where Satoshi sat on the couch, knees to his chest as some silly cartoon flashed on the TV. You could tell he wasn’t even watching it, he probably just needed the background noise.
To put it bluntly Gary was terrible at apologizing. it was way too hard for him to find the right words, much less openly talk about his feelings. It took a moment to finally worked up the courage, silently sneaking the remote away and flipped the television off, breaking Satoshi from his thoughts.
Jade hue’s stared at the ground. It was hard for him to even look at the boy after what he said, guilt hammering into him like a nail being driven in a coffin. “…Ahh…I just came to…umm…well you were right I really do need more sleep…I know you’re just concerned and looking out for me…” he slowly died off, rubbing his neck. Boy this was awkward. It was even worse that Satoshi was giving him the most confused look he ever seen.
With a sigh the researcher plopped down onto the couch, next to his lover. His hand reached out to hold the others, giving him a light squeeze. “I guess what I mean is…I’m sorry, for saying those things to you. You didn’t do anything wrong and I shouldn’t have treated you that way.” He sheepishly looked back up at the gym leader, biting at his lip. “I’m sorry.”
Satoshi couldn’t help it as he giggled lightly. Gary just looked so…so awkward. “It’s alright.” He nodded softly. “We all get a little upset at times.” He sighed, scooting into the brunets lap. “Just…promise me you’ll at least try to get some rest. And if you need me there you know I wouldn’t turn down a nap.” the gym leader gave his boyfriend a soft kiss on the cheek, leaning on his shoulder as they both fell back onto the couch.
"I’ll keep it in mind." Gary smiled, looping his arms around Satoshi’s waist as he quickly drifted off to slumberland.
