in class today, my students shared the superheroes they’d been working on (only if they wanted to of course!), and this one student, who i’d been told by another teacher /hates/ writing, volunteered. he was so nervous. he came up to the front of the class and had me read his paper. he stayed up there the whole way through with his back turned to everyone else, but he did it, he shared his work with everyone, and apparently this was a character he’d been working on for years, and it was just a really special moment that he was brave enough to share (even if he didn’t read it himself, it was still his work that he chose to share with everyone, and i’m proud of him)
