God's Abomination: Kamacuras

Here's Kamacuras!

Just like with Kumonga, these little dudes have a special place in my heart. Bugs as giant monsters is a cool idea!

I wanted to lean into the idea that they were an off-shoot or evolution of the MUTO, while also coloring them to look like Orchid Mantis!

After their arachnid queen was dispatched by Godzilla, the Kamacuras retreated into the great hive below the Earth's surface.

While they chittered and scurried, searching for another potential exit point, they were issued an alpha challenge by none other than Pharaoh.

Though he'd lost his queen, Cleopatra, he was still a powerful monster in his own right. The other MUTO bowed to him, and soon, so too did the Kamaucuras. With his supreme council of insectoid monstrosities, Pharaoh would stew in his machinations of surface domination, divulging a plan to attack when he had even greater numbers than before.

The Kamacuras were slightly larger than the MUTO, even the females were not quite as big as them.

had developed a more concentrated version of the EMP blast that the MUTO had access to, channeling it through their limbs and turning their slashes into electrical torrents that could incapacitate weaker monsters.

Every single one of the Kamacuras were capable of limited flight and often used it to gain an advantage on the monsters that couldn't fly.

They also had the ability to latch onto larger targets and vibrate their wings fast enough to create a super nova effect against their enemy, cooking them alive.

What they had in power, they lacked in intelligence, they seemed to be a species that sought leadership and bowed to one that was perceived as stronger than them.

But we all know who the strongest truly was... God's Abomination.
