I wanted to share a couple prayers I use to honor a couple of the goddess’ and lady’s. Personally I don’t usually call upon their energy unless I’m in a really bad situation but I do talk their ear off so in return I pray for them.
If you are uncomfortable reading these or knowing I’m a witch you are not welcome here. This is a safe space for people who relate to my content.
I found some of these on here so if they are yours pls let me know so I can give you credit. Although I have tweaked a couple to fit my own practice.
Aphrodite:
Oh Aphrodite
Goddess of love and beauty
I pray to you today for guidance and clarity
Your grace and charm are legendary
And your power to inspire love and desire is unrivaled
I ask for your help in finding true self-love and happiness
And in navigating the complexities of the heart
I thank you for all your efforts and appreciate the time you take to help me
So mote it be.
Hekate:
Oh Hekate,
Mother of all witches,
Be my guide
Be my light in the dark
Show me the way
Enhance my faith
Open my intuition and lead me to perfection
The moon, the light, the magic
Might them be part of my craft
I am ready to open my heart and mind
So mote it be
Ones I don’t talk with often but like to dedicate my actions for them:
Lady Morrigan
Lady Morrigan, battle Queen,
Give me the gift of relentlessness
That I might turn and turn and return
Let my will be like
An eel, a wolf, a hornless heifer,
An old woman seeking blessing
To turn my enemies' blows to healing
May I be strong in serving my purpose
Sharp as a blade's edge
Wise as the crow who sees
The entire battlefield from above
Bless me, my lady,
With all these qualities
In your name and in your service.
Lady Lilith:
Lilith, in your shadows we find our way, In the cloak of night, we humbly pray. Goddess of mysteries deep and profound, In your darkness, our spirits are unbound.
Guide us through the shroud of the unknown, In your wisdom, our seeds of truth are sown.
In the quiet whispers of your moonlit grace, We find solace in the secret places. Lilith, with your endless night unfurled, Reveal to us the mysteries of the underworld.
Goddess of dreams and the realms unseen, In your presence, our minds are keen. Lead us through the starlit, endless sea, In your realm of night, forever free.
Lilith, keeper of the cosmic veil, In your mysteries, we shall prevail. With each shadowy path we tread, Guide us, goddess, with wisdom widespread.
In your name, we embrace the dark and deep, In your eternal night, our secrets we keep. Lilith, goddess of the enigmatic and profound, With your mysteries, our spirits are crowned.
Remember not every witch will believe in these prayers. You are entitled to your own opinion and so am I. These work for me and I share them for the baby witches and ones that are willing to try something new. If these don’t fit your beliefs or don’t necessarily work then that’s okay! These are just want works for me and my practice.
I wanted to say a prayer for all of those suffering/struggling with the current cold weather. I couldn't decide between Brigid, Hestia, or maybe someone else entirely so opened my Book of Shadows to a random page and it happened to be Brigid's.
So here is the prayer I wrote. It could be said at any time but is particularly well suited for periods of cold weather.
Brigid,
May your sacred light guide any who are lost to safety.
May the divine flames of your hearth and forge warm all who are cold.
May your thick cloak cover and protect all who are vulnerable.
This rite may be used for either New or Full Moon. The difference is in your meditation and mental attitude in preparation.
