“We seriously need to stop hoarding soulmates,” Len drawls, brushing a predatory look all over the young fellow. He can't be older than twenty-five – quite younger than the four of them. The puppy frowns and then gradually relaxes. He appears relieved. Leonard smirks thinking of what he has written down his left calf. “This is not what I thought this sentence would mean,” the boy mumbles, as predicted. Sweet and innocent: the kid should thank Raymond for being in the picture, because otherwise Len, Lisa, and Mick would eat this cutie alive. In a very pleasant way.

Mick Rory Appreciation Week Day 2 || Relationships || Lisa Snart

Mick didn’t like kids-- he didn’t even like himself as a kid.  So when he found out that Snart had a kid sister on the outside that he was fiercely devoted to, he was hesitant, to say the least.  But the guy wouldn’t budge, so if Mick wanted to continue their partnership he was forced to accept the brat princess.

Lisa didn’t change Mick’s mind about kids in general, but she definitely won him over as the exception to the rule.  She was more than a decade younger than him, but she was quick on the uptake, and a natural grifter.  With a winning smile and an innocent tone that dripped with honey, she managed to reel in marks that would have taken one look at Mick and called the cops.

And while she was a brat, and a smartass, she also trusted her brother, and followed his lead faithfully.   She trusted him, which blew Mick’s mind.  His gut wrenched when he thought about what Lewis put her through when Len wasn’t around, couldn’t protect her, and so he started scoping out halfway decent dives to squat in, so she and Len both would have a place to go if things got rough.  When Len got old enough to drop out of school, he and Mick went in together to find a place that gave Lisa her own space and all of them away from the asshole.

As Lisa got older, she got smarter and prettier-- she found more ways to manipulate people to do what she wanted.  She was an interesting blend of her two “brothers”-- smart like Len, but fiery like Mick.  They’d go out on the town and make trouble and eat sweets and burn marshmallows.  Lisa never treated him like he was stupid, or wrong.  She treated him like family.

It’s not an instant thing Mick and Lisa hooking up, it’s actually years before Mick will even acknowledge his feelings for Len’s sister, and it’s not cause he’s partners with Len and doesn’t wanna betray his friend, but its simply because Mick just sucks at realizing when he’s got feelings and when he’s got feelings.

Lisa’s the one who corners Len and tells him she’s got a thing for Mick, and if he has an issue with it, he can shove it.

Only, Len doesn’t actually have a problem by the time Mick and Lisa are ready to even broach the topic of what they feel for one another, because Len knows Mick’ll be good to Lise, and she’ll be good to Mick, so yeah, he doesn’t have an issue.

(That doesn’t mean he doesn’t enjoy messing with them once in a while.)

So, that episode was… Fun.

I’m in dire need of fluff, so I want to write some, but I’m not totally inspired.

For the 5+ headcanons thing: Goldenwave+Fake dating AU?

(this got weirdly angsty and I’m sorry)

As soon as Lisa gets old enough to join Len and Mick in the thieving business, she claims Mick as her “official undercover couple partner.” It doesn’t mean anything at first, just Lisa jumping at any opportunity to get into a swanky party (where she can steal even more swanky things) and she isn’t about to pretend to date her brother. 

Mick jokingly promises Len the first time they go undercover that he isn’t going to fall in love with Len’s baby sister. It isn’t until their fifteenth undercover gig Mick realizes he’s broken that promise. 

Lisa kisses Mick for the first time during their third go at fake dating. By their sixth, she means it. 

After Undercover Couple Stint number nineteen, Mick realizes that not only has he fallen in love with Lisa, but he’s not falling out of it any time soon. He’s at the mall when a shiny gold necklace he knows Lisa would love and that would look just so pretty around her delicate neck catches his eye. When the salesperson asks what luck woman he has in mind, Mick lies and says it’s his wife, even though there’s no one around to put on a show for. 

Mick and Lisa borrow a friend’s baby for Con Op twenty-six. They’re at a family picnic in a quaint suburban park tailing some hotshot banker but Mick can hardly focus on the job. Holding Lisa’s hand, bringing her fresh grilled hot dogs with extra barbecue sauce and mustard but no ketchup just the way she likes, passing the baby back and forth while they take turns talking to “neighbors” and running to the bathroom. It’s so unbearably domestic it makes Mick’s chest hurt and time feel like it’s running slow. 

Thirty is a couples counselling retreat. Mick’s forgotten how to pretend he isn’t in love anymore. 

Len knows. Of course he does. It’s why he stayed quiet the first time, all those years ago, when Mick promised not to fall for her. Just makes it sting more when Len and Mick fall out and Lisa looks so God damn sad all the time. She spends the first week cooped up in her room staring at the same set of wedding rings she and Mick used every undercover mission for the last seven years. 

Lisa pretends to be some hot little blonde with an engineering degree to lure Cisco Ramon back to the manor Len and Mick are holed up in. It makes Mick’s stomach twist, but it’s been years since the person she was pretending to have feelings for was him.

Mick Rorys that Mick Hates || Part 2/3 || Earth 42

There are so many things wrong with this guy, with this Earth.  First off, who the fuck goes into teaching high school?  Kids are assholes, the pay is shit, and just because this guy’s a chemistry teacher doesn’t mean he’s setting fires every day-- those books are totally false advertising.  And football?  Mick’s not really a great team player, even after so long on the Waverider, so he can’t understand how a Doppel-him ended up coaching.  If the guy didn’t still have that gravelly tone, blunt and insensitive (apparently he’s been reprimanded quite a few times for language around the kids), he’d argue the physical resemblance was all they had in common. 

And then there’s the thing with Lisa. That’s just weird.  Mick’s watched her grow up-- she’s always just been a little sister to him.  A damn useful one, smart and seductive when she wants to be, but definitely not someone he’d ever consider dating, whether Leonard ever let him or not.  Definitely never marry.  He can’t imagine what it’d be like to have Len as that kind of brother, to be wrapped around Lisa’s golden little finger, even if they all seem happy-- really happy.  At least her brains aren’t wasted here-- she designs jewelry (go figure), and is definitely the breadwinner of their family.  And Mick suspects that detail is a thing this Earth’s Len isn’t going to let him forget anytime soon, if he’s anything like the real one.
