A wonderful lesson for the meaning of humanity.
Genuinely a good lesson about comfort zones
Thanks Bastille Dan for letting me live out my lesbian dream life through you
Alright guys it's time for me to do anything except studying:
I noticed that here on Tumblr there's actually a kinda fan base of Bastille and since they saved my 2019 and now Hozier is saving my 2020, I decided to express an opinion I have had for quite a few months:
In Doom Days (deluxe!) there are two of my favourite songs which are Good Lesson and Admit Defeat, and imo they're both linked to Another Place to form a beautiful and yet heartbreaking story: my fav interpretation is this order > Admit Defeat, falling in love completely and being kind of at mercy of your partner. > Another Place, realising that your partner doesn't really want you as a person and because you are you, but because you're just a body and, actually, they told you so, and yet they make promises and stuff that make you fall in love even more, so you just kind of feel like uuhh what's the word? Shit. > Finally, Good Lesson, aka a big fuck you but also thank you to your partner after THE break up (from your part or theirs, it hurt anyway).
Another interpretation is with Another Place, so shitty situation > Good lesson, always the big fat Fuck you thank you > Admit defeat, you find your soulmate, the true love of your life™ and you live happily ever after.
Well, that's it, a year later to the party but eh, I still got to join!
Good Lesson // Bastille
Imagine telling someone you loved them and they replied with "drunk lust is blind, love, can't choose your type" like wtf daniel
