So, watched Mune: Guardian of the Moon last night, and having had time to think about it I still feel the same way

I am 90% sure that hijinks ensue every damn time new guardians are chosen.

I mean Sohone wasn’t taught shit besides the one skill he’d need if he lost track of the sun, and we don’t know what the other dude (who I don’t care enough about to remember the name) was taught but he also was only really shown knowing how to put the moon back.

So I propose that the reason they’re taught how to get the things back in place with no sign of any other lessons is because by this point it’s Known among guardians that everything else they can learn from their helpers over time, no harm no foul, but within the first week both of them are going to lose their celestial body and need to put it the fuck back. Happens every time. May as well make sure that they know what the fuck they’re doing there right away.
