We are SO done with 2020! But we can’t kick it out the door without looking back to some of its brighter points. . . Front Room Gallery started this past year with huge audiences and packed openings. And then…Coronavirus halted the city to a stop. We all went on pause, not knowing what to expect next. In a city of "closed until further notice" signs we worked hard to keep Front Room's artist community together, communicating personal issues, goals and concerns. Monthly zoom meetings were a place of discussion, gathering and development; and we added to our programming by presenting over 12 online exhibitions during this time of uncertainty. And in-gallery shows continued with Emily Roz, Jesse Lambert, Amy Hill, Daisy Craddock, and Thomas Broadbent. Emily Roz's exhibition "Tight Fit" was scheduled to open right when the lockdown occurred. It stayed up for viewing (through the window) for almost four months, during which time the city and state mandated no one was allowed to enter the premises. Yet it still garnered much acclaim, including a New York Times Review. In fact, our shows in 2020 got quite a bit of attention, including features in New York Times, artnet, Hyperallergic, Photograph Magazine, Introspective Magazine, Air Mail, Artrepreneur, Kalm Report, Musée Magazine and the Villager to name a few. . . Thank you everyone for your support and let’s make 2021 a year to remember for the good! . . #newyear #kickit #goodbye2020 #goodbye2020hello2021 #corona #coronaviruspandemic #coronavirusbegone #covid_19 #covid #art #illustration #2020 #giveittheboot #keepgoing #keeppositive (at Front Room Gallery) https://www.instagram.com/p/CJ4tOYvlq2X/?igshid=8lfv7z2mm7kl
