Personal random gorillaz headcanon but I feel like in the gorillaz universe since it's basically real life 2D actually cameo'd in the season 2 episode of netflix's YOU when they talk about how to solidify your status as someone who lives in LA you have to see 5 specific LA things one being seeing a rollerskater in booty shorts. 2D is that person Joe Goldberg sees in booty shorts rollerskating in LA. Might even been around the right timeframe too I can't remember what year season 2 of YOU was filmed/released. But I can see 2D talking about it and how it is was cool to be an extra in a TV show ect.
