GoT Preference: Comforting them & their Reaction
Jon Snow
We all know Jon is broody
Therefore, he can have a bit of trouble accepting comfort
You can always tell when something is wrong, and will let him know you are always open for comfort
At night, that is when Jon can loosen up a little more
Comforting generally starts with small physical touches, like running a hand through his hair of placing a hand on his back and kissing his cheek
He will eventually begin to talk and accept more physical comfort
The night will end with Jon's head on your chest, you placing soft kisses to his forehead
He doesn't cry often, but knows that if he does in front of you, you will never judge him
He appreciates your comfort more than he lets on
He rarely verbally thanks you, but sometimes, he will leave a little thank you note for you to find in the morning
Robb Stark
Robb knows he can immediately come to you for comfort
If he has any issues or problems, you are generally the first person he wants to discuss them with
After meetings with the heads of other Northern Houses, they will be dismissed and you will stay behind to talk things over
If something is emotionally getting to him, he is the kind of person who wants to talk it over
You can stay up all night, talking over the things that are upsetting him
He also appreciates physical comfort, like holding his hand while he is talking
When he is finished getting all of his emotions out and hearing any of the advise you might have, he will take your face in his hands and kiss you
It's a deep and passionate thank you, one that shows how grateful he is to have you
Eddard Stark
Ned likes to bottle up his emotions
He knows he can always turn to you but it is hard for him to be vulnerable around other people
When things really get to him, he tends to become silent
This is when you know
You will comfort him with a kiss first, and cuddle up to him
He doesn't need words
If he cries, you don't say anything, you know he would rather you just remain physically close
You know he is beginning to feel better when starts to place kisses to your forehead
He doesn't need to say thank you for you to know he appreciates your comfort
The thank you is there when he finds peace and falls asleep in your arms
Jaime Lannister
Jaime is another one who bottles up his emotions
If you ever ask him if he is okay, the answer is always the same: "I'm fine."
Him knowing you care is generally more than enough of a comfort to him
Just asking and a kiss to his cheek is enough to make him feel better. Not completely better, but significantly
Jaime will never admit it but he loves head scratches when he is sad or stressed
He does find it hard to thank you, that requires a vulnerability he doesn't like to show
There are some nights, however, where everything just comes to a head
Tears, sobs, everything. He will start talking about whatever is bothering him with no limitations
In these moments, you just sit and listen. Just the idea of being listened to is perfect for Jaime
To thank you after those nights, he will run you a bath or buy you a gift as a thank you
sometimes, he will even sum up the courage to whisper a thank you in your ear
Tyrion Lannister
Tyrion knows he can rely on you
But when you have spent your whole life being unloved by the people who are supposed to love you most, it can be hard to trust
That's why he can become distant when he is upset
He doesn't like showing vulnerability in fear that you will laugh
He knows this will never happen, but he can't let that feeling go sometimes
When you kiss him though, sometimes you can feel him melt into it
He loves physical comfort
He appreciates that affection more than he could possibly put into words
In these moments, when he can feel you are there for him, sometimes he will let himself cry
And you will just hold him, slowly running your fingers though the mop of curls on his head
He is simple in the way he thanks you - "I love you"
Tormund Giantsbane
Tormund is very open with his feelings
He, of course, likes to appear strong in front of others, but Tormund doesn't seem to equate weakness as being emotionally open and vulnerable
No, to him, that is a showing of true strength
When Tormund is feeling sad or down, he will tell you he is sad or down
He seeks out your comfort more than most men would
If he needs you to hold him, he will tell you and then lie in your arms for as long as he needs
He is not much of a crier, but he is not afraid to shed some tears in front of you
Tormund's way of making it up to you, is a little more physical than others
He is not afraid to show you intimately how much he appreciates your comfort
Sandor Clegane
This man is the king 👑 of repressed emotion
He will simply refuse to accept that anything is wrong with him
If you offer comfort, he is simply not accepting
Dedication is key, however, and sometimes, rarely, Sandor will let you hold him
He might grumble about it, telling you that you are being "fucking stupid", but inside, he revels in it
That physical connection has the power to calm any emotional storm going through them
He will never let you know though, no, that would be way too vulnerable
Jorah Mormont
Jorah is a man who thrives off words of affirmation
The most effective way to comfort him is to reassure him through words
He can totally feel himself calm at your reassurances
Sometimes, all he needs to hear is that he is enough and you love him more than he could possibly imagine
Every time you comfort him, Jorah wonders how he ever ended up having a love like yours
Afterwards, all he wants to do is hold you in his arms and place kisses to your cheek
Sometimes, you have to stop him from continuously thanking you
Oberyn Martell
Oberyn Martell is an emotive man
It is very easy to tell when he is upset
He is honest and real about his emotions, always
He likes to talk them over with you and hear any advise you can offer
Sometimes, though, all he wants or needs is for you to listen
Some nights can be entirely full of him talking about his issues
This will always lead to talk of Elia
As these nights progress, Oberyn's mood always seems to improve
He slowly moves closer
By the end of the night, he has his arms around you and is placing soft kisses all over your body
Oberyn shows his appreciation through pleasure, letting his body do the talking

Gendry can get grumpy when he is upset
When he snaps at you, which is rarely, this is when you know something is wrong
A few moments of silence go by before he takes a deep breath and apologises
You don't ever say anything, but instead, you walk over and just wrap your arms around his body
He will always lean into it, taking comfort in the feeling of you holding him
Sometimes, this is all he needs, but other times he needs to talk about his emotions or issues in order to feel better
He will look into your eyes as he does so, their soft expression calming him down
When he is finished you will just smile and place a kiss to his lips
He will place a hand up to your face, running a finger across your cheekbone and thank you

Podrick Payne is not a man afraid of crying in front of you
Whenever he is stressed or feeling down, that is what mostly happens
To him, there is no more calming feeling in the world than having you hold him while he cries
He also likes when you just listen to him talk about whatever is bothering him
Your advise is always appreciated too, but he also just likes when you listen to his issues and don't try to solve them

・Dany had judged when she was younger, but now ... she understood that the world was brutal, and unforgiving.

・You showed her every injury and at first she wanted to know how you did it, but after a while ... it was like she couldn’t stomach it

・Sandor didn’t really react... he didn’t shake his head, or yell, or berate you.
・It took him a few minutes to process it, but he actually ... understood. On some level, he identified with that type of pai.
・ Not that you could see it on his face though. He looked, well, very dazed, but sad
・You were about to explain more about it, when his next actions shocked you.
・Sandor, the Hound, the man who killed, maimed and slaughtered. Got up, walked over to you and took your head in his hands
・He didn’t say anything, just looked into your eyes.
・And ever so slowly, he moved his forehead to rest to yours. His nose brushed your own, and then he leant down to wrap his arms around you and shifted his head to your neck.
・He held you, in this sort of protective cocoon.
・Like he was saying the world can’t get to you now
・That pain will never be felt again
・And you wrapped your arms around his middle and pushed yourself against him. Wanting to melt into his arms.

・Blinked. Once, twice, three times.
・And then her eyes softened and her head moved to one side
“The world is cruel, but I wish it had spared you.”
・You couldn’t meet her eyes, because they had teared up and you couldn’t stop them from falling
・Shaking your head softly, you slumped to the ground and leaned against the cold wall.
Whispering, you said, “It didn’t spare me.”
・And you started to sob
・With light footsteps, she ran over to you and sank to her knees
・Looking around she found something you could use to blow your nose and wipe your eyes
・Then she stayed with you, unmoving, until you were ready to talk
“I want to know everything. When you’re ready.”
・You shifted so your head was in her lap and she stroked the hair out of your face.
・Although she wasn’t the best with physical affection, she remembered what her mother did to her when she was young. She also remembered how safe, and how loved she felt.
・So she stroked your hair and gently ran her fingertips over your features.
・Even if this was how you fell asleep, she would stay in this position until you woke

・Perplexed and had a lot of questions about your scars, but was still supportive.
“You never sought any help from the maesters?”
You scoffed, “and what good could a bunch of old men do? They would ask questions and my mind wasn’t ... it couldn’t handle any questions.”
・He nodded and sat on the chair, facing opposite you.
“I guess we all do some self-damage in one way or another.”
・You were a bit embarrassed in bringing it up. Like you had a secret that could ruin how Jaime saw you
“I think your way is probably the healthiest...” He said and walked up to you
・Jaime gave you the lightest, most tender kiss, then closed his eyes and lent his head against yours.
・Wrapping his arms around you, he swayed from side to side (knowing that movement calmed you down)
“Safe. You’re safe with me. Now and forever.”
・You nuzzled into his neck and took a deep breath in.
・He rubbed up and down your spine, while planting a kiss on your cheek
・You knew Jaime brought this warm light with him, wherever he went. Especially when he was with you.

・Is the most understanding, because during the times in King’s Landing then being sent to the Bolton’s... she did indulge in self harm
・It was in places that no one would see
・So when you opened up about your own self-harm, she immediately went to you, and held you in her arms.
“I understand, I understand,” she said over and over, stroking your hair and holding you to her chest
・You could feel her heartbeat; steady and strong.
・You didn’t notice when the tears started to fall, but they did - and didn’t stop until someone knocked on her door, asking if you wanted dinner
・She had looked to you and you had shaken your head
“No thank you,” Sansa called out and you heard the shuffle of feet leaving the corridoor
・That night Sansa had opened up about her own experiences and you both cried in each other’s arms
・You stroked each other’s faces and cried about the hurt that you both endured. Even at times you held the other as they screamed into a pillow (it’s liberating trust me)

・But tried his best not to show it, but you caught a glimpse of it.

“Are you still doing it now? Have you got a way to stop doing it? Should we make some sort of ... plan?”
・Knows exacty how you’re feeling just by looking at you - even when you’re trying to conceal you’re true feelings. He just ... knows.
・Has a plan for you, even if you can’t think of one
・There’s herbal remedies if you can’t sleep, bandages and salves in case you do self-harm again
・He even learned how to stitch in case ... well ... you know
・Absolutely no judgement when you told him about the self-harm. He had tears in his eyes, and knelt beside you as you told him everything
・Didn’t interrupt you, or make you feel as though it was burdening him
“I want to know everything about you. You mean the world to me.”
・Is more upset that you had to go through certain experiences / feelings. Wish he could have been there to support you during those times
・Only asks questions when he gets your consent to do so
・Is so steady with the questions as well
・Holds you tight every night after that, and when he’s away, he’ll write little reminders and notes so he doesn’t feel so far away
𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐞𝐫𝐲
・Didn’t fully understand what you meant, because self harm was a foreign thought to her.
・She always had a plan, or her thoughts were always certain. Her grandmother helped with that, because of how grounded and honest she was with/for Margaery
・It was a bit intimidating telling her but you knew you had to at some point. And in your mind, you thought this would make or break your relationship
・You were honest and told Margaery exactly that - and she was shocked
“My dear, my absolute love,” she held your hands in hers and put them to her lips, “I love you. And this is not ... there is nothing wrong with how you expressed yourself. You did what you had to, to survive.”
・Tears sprung in your eyes when she said that
・Because that’s exactly what these scars were - memories of a time when all you could control was your self harm.
・Asked when was the last time you did it and if you were still doing it. If you were still, then she would ask to see - in case of infection or if the maester needed to get involved
・Then she promised you that you would never need to self-harm again

Pt 2
Tywin Lannister
Haunted by the death of Joanna, Lord Tywin Lannister would be VERY cautious and protective of you throughout your entire pregnancy. When the time came for you to go to the birthing bed, Tywin is right there beside you refusing to wait in the hall as he had done with his elder three children. Your hand gripped tightly in his own, his entire focus is on the bed between your legs - watching for any excessive amount of bleeding (as his beloved first wife had suffered from). Tywin would whisper words of encouragement and praise if the labor persisted for more than a few hours, reminding you that you’re a lioness. When the first babe comes and the Maester announces it’s a boy, Tywin doesn’t even try to hide his smirk and leans over to kiss your lips - thanking you low enough for only you to hear - and then he gets the surprise of his life when he’s told there’s another. Several moments later and both of you are holding a baby each, the Lord of Casterly Rock staring down with barely hidden shock at the baby boy in his arms. Twins. Twin boys. Not one heir. But two.
“I knew you wouldn’t disappoint me.” It’s the closest thing to praise he could give to you in that moment as he kissed your lips once more, his smile softening into a deep fondness he had only shared for one other before you but which was just as strong for you as it had been for her.
Roose Bolton
Lord Roose Bolton wasn’t troubled by the fact his previous wife had died in childhood. It happened all over the world and Roose had never seen a reason to fret over it. And then he married you and he fell for you. The news of you being pregnant was a joyous occasion even if he constantly teased you about how infant sons could be the death of a House. Roose would be very hands on during the delivery, helping his Maester in any way possible to ensure you safely through it. He knew that he cared deeply for you, but it still surprised him at how concerned he was for you. He wasn’t really the type to show emotions so openly. When the first boy was born, Roose took the babe and cleaned it himself. He counted fingers and toes and wrapped it in one of the blankets you had knitted. And then he heard the Maester mention a second baby and Roose turned, eyes wide ever so slightly as he watched you bolt up in bed, screaming. Moments later a second wailing filled the room. Twins? You had given him twins? Roose couldn’t remember if there had ever been twins in the Bolton family.
“Both boys, My Lord.” the Maester’s words barely registered as Roose crossed the room and gently handed the already cleaned babe over to you, and then he took the second, staring down at him with a smirk.
Roose cleaned the second as he had the first and wrapped him in a blanket to keep him warm, and then he joined his wife on the bed as the Maester cleaned you up. “Twin boys. You’ve outdone yourself.” he murmured, kissing your forehead. He was definitely proud of you (and proud of himself for his choice in wife).
Stannis Baratheon
Lord Stannis Baratheon had loved you from the moment you married. Despite being awkward around women, he had done his best to show you his feelings (often through gifts like he had seen his Father do for his Mother). Early in your marriage, he had hopes for a handful of children. A son, a few spares, and a daughter or two if the gods he didn’t believe in deemed him worthy. When Shireen was all who came, Stannis was annoyed but he loved his daughter and not having a son never diminished his love for you. And then you approached him and told him the news. That you were with child again, six years after the birth of Shireen. Stannis barely hid his smile at the news. Your pregnancy was a healthy one and there were no concerns about the labor. Stannis remained in the hall (with a very curious Shireen) as you went to the birthing bed (if he paced the hall, he and his guards would never admit it). No news was told to him until your chambers had gone completely quiet, and then the door opened slowly and the Maester stepped out with a wide smile on his lips.
“Twin boys, My Lord. Healthy and very loud.”
Stannis was already moving past him, Shireen still in his arms, as he made a beeline for the bed where you laid, two bundles in your arms.
“Your heir and spare, Husband.” you teased, smiling tiredly up at him
He captured your lips in a rare display of affection before returning his gaze to the babes, “I knew you would perform exceptionally.” He remarked, pride lacing every syllable.
Jaime - Jaime’s favorite kind of kiss is a goofy kiss. Jaime spends a lot of time in his own head, doubting himself and his abilities. Sometimes he feels as if the whole world is against him. For this reason it is nice for him to have moments with you where he can let loose and laugh. When he leans in and the two of you bump heads, causing you both to laugh as you go in for a kiss. Feeling your mouth smiling against his as he indulges in your taste and your scent.
Sandor - Sandor’s favorite kind of kiss is a small one. It would be an understatement to say that Sandor is not the most affectionate of men. He doesn’t often let himself feel. However he likes getting affection from you. Just not too much. When you lean in and give him a little peck on the lips or the cheek to let him know that you’re there and you care about him, that is more than enough for him.
Petyr - Petyr’s favorite kind of kiss is a controlling one. Petyr is used to being in complete control in every aspect of his life. His business, his relationships. It’s all under his command. So when it comes to being with you he likes when you let him be in control of your pleasure. Pulling you in by the back of your neck so you can’t move away and keeping you there against him until he has his fill of you.
Jon - Jon’s favorite kind of kiss is a slow one. A lot of Jon’s life has been dedicated to others and serving those around him. He leaves little time for himself and the things he wants. You help to show him that he can indulge himself in you from time to time. Kissing you is one sweet perfect indulgence for him so he wants to make it last. They’re always slow so that he can take his time enjoying you.
Robb - Robb’s favorite kind of kiss is a deep one. Robb is the kind of person that takes the things that he wants. And when he gets what he wants he gets it in excess. You are no exception. When he wants to kiss you he wants all of you. He makes sure to take you in as much as he can. When he kisses you he’ll pull your body close and press his lips against yours as deeply as he can, always wanting more of you.
Tywin - Tywin’s favorite kind of kiss is a demanding one. Tywin is a man in charge. When he walks by he strikes fear into the hearts of others. He doesn't ask for things, he takes them. When he kisses you, he doesn't ask. He demands of you. He would simply walk up and press his lips hard against yours with a hand on your throat or your jaw. He would want to know that you belong to him and only him.
Bronn - Bronn’s favorite kind of kiss is a relaxing one. Bronn is a pretty nonchalant guy. Whatever life throws his way he is able to deal with no problem. He wants to help you see life the same way. When kissing you he would scoop you up and meld your mouths until he feels you completely melt into his arms. He loves to stroke the side of your face as he kisses you calmly. He loves your sighs when he does.
Jorah - Jorah’s favorite kind of kiss is a romantic one. Jorah is such a romantic at heart. He wants you to know that you have his complete love and loyalty, no matter what. When he kisses you he wants you to know how much he cares about you. He would pull you in so sweetly and gently, holding one side of your face as he goes in for a kiss. When he finally kisses you, his lips press against yours so tenderly that it’s almost a ghost of a kiss, his breath warm on your cheek.
Ramsay - Ramsay’s favorite kind of kiss is a painful one. Ramsay loves to be in control of you. One of his favorite ways to claim ownership of you is to mark you. Leaving a hickey or a bite mark on your skin. It’s the same way when he kisses you. He likes to pull your lip between his teeth and bite down until it trickles with blood. Then he’ll pull away and lick up the blood before giving you a real kiss.
Stannis - Stannis’ favorite kind of kiss is an intimate one. For Stannis, you are his one and only. You mean the whole world to him. Sometimes he’s not the best at showing that but he does so in the ways he can. Kissing is one of them. When he kisses you he holds your face in his hands and maintains eye contact before pulling you in and pressing his lips deeply into yours, taking your breath away.
Oberyn - Oberyn’s favorite kind of kiss is a sexual one. It’s no secret that a lot of the time Oberyn leads with his dick. He is almost always thinking about you naked in front of him and kissing you just makes him want you even more. His favorite kiss is the one he lays tenderly on your clit while he’s eating you out until you beg him to stop.
Sansa - Sansa’s favorite kind of kiss is a mutual one. Sansa is used to having things taken from her. She has felt so much heartache in her life and she wants things with you to be different. Dany - Daenerys’ favorite kind of kiss is a passionate one. Dany leads with her whole heart, in ruling and in love. She never worries about hiding her emotions. When she kisses you she wants you to know that she is so passionate towards you. Her hands would be all over you as she sloppily kisses you everywhere. She would suck your lip between her teeth and tug, making your eyes roll back.
Brienne - Brienne’s favorite kind of kiss is a tender one. Brienne doesn’t get a lot of tenderness in her life. She is used to being the tough one and never getting nice, soft things. When it comes to you, she wants to experience those things. When you kiss her, you would hold her so gently and your lips would touch ever so softly, making her shiver and cling to you as she enjoys all of you.
Margaery - Margaery’s favorite kind of kiss is a confident one. Margaery is used to getting her way and being a leading lady. She wants the eyes of the world on her and to do that you must have confidence. And she does in excess. When she kisses you she always takes the lead. She pulls your body into hers and tilts your head back before taking a firm hold of you and kissing you nice and deep.
He’s already an expert in suffering in silence, so this should be no different. Although he’s very surprised at the sudden arrangement, and while he isn’t a man to throw his rank around… He wonders if he can’t convince your family to reconsider. If it’s simply impossible, Ned would resign himself to having to stop the relationship. He’s too honorable to ever consider an affair and he’s not a man to start a duel or cause trouble, especially since it would negatively affect your reputation. The heavy combination of missing you, pining after you all over again and feeling like he didn’t do enough is hard. Some days he entertains the idea of still having a friendship, but it doesn’t seem like a good idea. He doesn’t trust himself.
Robb Stark
The young wolf tries to accept it, even if his feelings become more and more angry each day. Robb never threw his name around, but… he was going to be Lord Stark. Wasn't that good enough for your family? For you? He tries to be the bigger man, but if you're miserable with your spouse and they don't treat you well, he can't keep his temper in check. Expect him to have a sudden outburst at a feast and cause a scene. The only thinking keeping him from an outright duel are his parents and his worry about your reputation. But if he was pushed to it….
Sansa Stark
She should've known this would happen. It's the fate of all ladies, yet there's a bitterness that tugs at her when she hears the news. Sansa tries to bury her feelings around others, but she's never done that with you. She expresses her disappointment and sorrow, and swears she'll help if your spouse turns out to be awful. She doesn't want them to be, but she doesn't want you beginning to prefer their company, either. She wonders if her affection for you would wane if she just pined from afar and tried to keep her feelings to herself.
Jon Snow
Ah yes, once again his bastardry is hitting him straight in the gut. Jon knew it was going to happen eventually, he already felt like the relationship was on a timer, and now it’s finally ended. He’s convinced there’s no getting out of it, because even if you did - you’d never be able to be with him in the open. It makes Jon glad he’s going to the Wall; hopefully the distance and cold will dull his feelings. In spite of that, sometimes he’ll tell Sam about you, and he speaks so mournfully it makes Sam think that distance hasn’t done all that much to help Jon’s pining.
Benjen Stark
He should be the bigger person and accept that this is for the best. He’s sworn to the Wall, and you two shouldn’t have been sneaking around. He should be relieved neither of you were caught. None of these thoughts are comforting. Ben tries to cope by making not-so-joking jokes about you running off to the Wall too, or perhaps he should take Yoren’s job and find his way to your court once in a blue moon. Then there’s no joking, and it’s just bitterness. He removes himself from your life after that, not wanting to hurt you with his own negative thoughts. He’d rather you keep the happy memories.
Jory Cassel
He accepts it, not that it brings him any pleasure. Jory's always been proud of his service to the Starks, but he's long understood that his landed seat is not a valuable one. Whenever he married, if he did, it wouldn't be someone as lovely as you. The announcement still hits him in the gut and he dejectedly tries to break it off (though it's easier on him if you do it). If he was in charge of guarding you, he'd switch shifts immediately and begin avoiding you, thinking it'll make things easier.
Eddison Tollett
This relationship already seemed too good to be true, so it’s abrupt end is not surprising. He’s sworn to the Wall and you both were sneaking around to begin with, so this should have been expected, but… it just makes him feel even more tired and dumb. Sam and Jon notice how little he sleeps and that he’s begun to skip meals, and he doesn’t have to explain why. They can do the math. Edd at least doesn’t try to bury any sad feelings or memories. It’s too exhausting to actively try, and it’s something to keep him company while he works. Maybe the feelings will fade… eventually.
Mance Rayder
It's one more reason for him to leave the "South" and go past the Wall. He knew a proper relationship with you wasn't possible because of his vows, but watching you go through this sham of an arranged marriage is just depressing. He'll comfort you best he can until he has to go back to the Wall, though he won't make promises he can't keep. Having to separate from you weighs heavy on him for a long time, and is one of many reasons he abandons the Watch.
Theon Greyjoy
What the hell is this? Hearing the news ruins his whole day, worse if he wasn’t able to hear it directly from you. He’s the heir to the Iron Islands, and his interest in you was clear as day! No, he hadn’t proposed yet… but he was getting to it! Now some mainlander beat him to it? Theon is absolutely seething. He’d prefer to duel your spouse to teach them a lesson in front of everyone, but he’s open to more boring methods like reasoning with your family. If he wasn’t able to change the engagement, he’d be bitter, and more than willing to carry on an affair behind your spouse’s back. He ought to just go the Ironborn route and kidnap you for himself.
Asha (Yara) Greyjoy
When you give her the news and you’re clearly distraught about it, Yara considers carrying you off to her ship right there. If you’re non-Ironborn, you’ll be her saltwife -- and if you’re Ironborn, she wants to have a discussion with whoever the hell planned this when everyone KNOWS you belong with her. You hadn’t expected this possessive behavior, but now you know Yara’s willing to fight for you as soon as someone takes you. No surprise, she’s more than willing to sneak around with you behind your husband’s back - maybe she can goad him into a duel. That would certainly solve a problem, wouldn’t it?
Victarion Greyjoy
He doesn’t understand at first. Victarion had made it clear that you were his, hadn’t everyone known that? No, he never made any sort of formal marriage, but not because he didn’t care. He felt like there was no need, hadn’t everyone known? If your family and spouse are Ironborn, he’ll immediately sail to their keep and raise all seven hells, and marry you right there in front of them. If you were sent away to the green lands, it would take the combined power of Balon, Yara and Aeron to keep him from sailing off immediately and just kidnapping you - preferably after killing your spouse. Victarion is pissed. Someone is going to pay for this.
Daenerys Targaryen
She’s just as mad at you as she is with whoever arranged this ridiculous match. Daenerys doesn’t often entertain arrogant thoughts, but… How could anyone think to match you with someone else, knowing your relationship with her? She feels she ought to be offended, though Daenerys knows this is hard on you as well, and you didn’t ask for it. She’ll think of some clever way to get you out of the arrangement, no way is this person getting away from stealing from her. And yes, that might as well be what it is! While she’s working out what to do, if she so much as hears murmurs of the possibility of your spouse hurting you… all bets are off. She’s taking you back with her, alliance be damned.
Jorah Mormont
The announcement of your engagement is a punch to his gut and a shock to his system. Jorah knew he wasn’t the best husband material, but he was planning to ask for your hand himself - then this happened. What’s worse, he knows as far as practical marriage goes, he has little to offer. He goes into a bit of a panic as he tries to think of what to do. There’s sensible choices, like trying to talk to your family with you. Then there’s not so sensible ones… Maybe running off, maybe just continuing the relationship behind your new spouse’s back, maybe dueling them… While Jorah is in emotional turmoil, he’d do anything for you. Even if you wanted to break off the relationship… or had a plan for him to follow. He’s nothing if not hopelessly devoted.
Missandei
… Oh. Maybe she shouldn’t have expected you to stick around for so long. As close as she is to Daenerys, she really has no fancy titles or things to offer. She understood why your family chose the match, it was a good one, politically speaking… but that does little to soothe her. Quite the opposite, a strong, desolate feeling overcomes her, one she hasn’t felt in a long time. She isn’t sure what to do, if it’s her place to stop the process. Perhaps if you asked her, she could try to make plans. Daenerys would help as well, considering how fond she is of you two, and how much she despises women being forced into arrangements.
Grey Worm
The sudden news takes him off guard, and sends him into a bit of an existential crisis. He was starting to see himself as a person, with his own name and a path he chose to follow… then this arrangement happens, and he’s forced to face what the rest of the world sees him as. It’s not that Grey Worm has a sense of ownership over you, but for once he was allowing himself all these happy feelings and memories with you, and now it’s gone. Of course he wants you back, but he feels paralyzed. What if he makes it worse? Does this have to happen? He starts to become even more withdrawn and distant, worrying Missandei until she decides to help. Grey Worm finally returns to his old self when he has you in his arms again.
Tywin Lannister
His steady composure is hit with such a rage at the news, the servant delivering it goes into a panic. His interest in you was obvious, so anyone doing this was trying to spite him. He doesn’t take the insult well. Perhaps before you’re even able to tell him the news yourself, threats will be delivered to both the spouse’s family and your own - Tywin is especially furious towards them, and won’t forget this - and incidents will be arranged. He refuses to be a man who pines after someone or covets another one’s wife, nor will he allow some lesser lord to take what he perceives as ‘his’.
Tyrion Lannister
The angst hits him like a ton of bricks, and it’s even worse if this came out of left field. It hurts less if he hears it from you, but only just. He should have known your family wouldn’t have accept any proposal he made - and gods know he was ready to do it - it’s just one more log to fuel his self-loathing and bitterness toward this world. But if you knock some sense into him, he’ll snap out of that spiral and begin to plan with you. There’s plenty of choices before the two of you - scandal? Running off? - but rest assured, Tyrion is going to investigate the hell out of this person. He’d never forgive himself if you got stuck with a brute.
Jaime Lannister
The fact he knew this was inevitable doesn't help Jaime's irritation. He can't believe your family arranged for that person to marry you. Seriously? You'd better keep Jaime at a distance from your spouse, because he can't help himself from making snide remarks and sarcastic comments. If he riles up the guy into a duel, all the better. He'll do all sorts of reckless things to begin with, and it's only worse when he's upset. He's also very willing to have an affair behind your spouse's back - you were with him first. You’ll probably have to scold Jaime about you two almost getting caught, but he’s above reproach. His stubbornness and jealousy gets worse the closer you two are.
Cersei Lannister
She’s absolutely infuriated with your family. You were her handmaiden, someone whose been with her for years - and they have the nerve to go behind her back like this?! It smells like a scheme of Tyrion’s, or perhaps Varys, but she’ll deal with them in time. For now, she’ll work out what to do about your spouse. She’ll try to keep you around as much as possible, and her possessiveness comes out in full. You can’t possibly be interested in such a worthless man.
Sandor Clegane
When you tell Sandor, he’s quiet for a discerningly long time before the anger and arguments come out. And then the quiet bitterness. The thing is, he knew this was coming for a while. He knew your time together was limited, he shouldn’t have things like hopes and happiness because it’ll just get taken away. And it is. Even if you explain you’ll try to break off the arrangement, that there’s still a way to get out, he has trouble believing it. He’s seen enough ladies get chained to useless fucking lords, he’d rather not see it happen to someone he cares about, thanks. Sandor will push you away as much as he can, but you could still attempt to convince him to have an affair… or perhaps leave King’s Landing entirely.
Ser Bronn of the Blackwater
He’s only mildly annoyed at the inconvenience. It’ll be a lot harder for you both to sneak around now, and forget about it if you’re having to move somewhere far away. Guess that’s the end of that ‘relationship’ - he should’ve expected it. Bronn is way more willing to stay close if you remain in King’s Landing, and he expects you both to keep fooling around. Now, if he’s actually started to develop feelings about you… he’ll start to act differently. You don’t actually like your spouse, do you? Wasn’t that just some arranged bullshit? He’ll throw smirks and subtle insults your spouse’s way, as if trying to goad them into a fight. More then once you two will almost get caught because he decides waltzing up to your window is totally acceptable, or trying to have a quickie in the middle of the day. A surprisingly jealous side will come out and he’s in total denial about any feelings he might have.
Jacquen H’ghar
This isn’t alarming to Jacquen at first. He knew he could never have such a union with you, and since this Westerosi society is so insistent on marriage, it would happen eventually. Still, your pain hurts him as well. Jacquen would have a variety of plans … anywhere from easily disguising as a guard or servant so he’s always beside you, or perhaps whisking you away somewhere. This isn’t the end of your relationship for him - it’s just a challenge to overcome. He assumes you won’t send him away or break it off.
Petyr Baelish
You being someone else’s wife makes no difference to Petyr, though he’s surprised in himself. Usually he stays out of such affairs, it only causes trouble… But he’s been intrigued by you, and quite frankly, he’s offended that this Lord Whoever from Wherever didn’t take his interest into account. No matter. Petyr has plenty of plans to deal with this pest, though he’s annoyed at his own jealousy whenever he sees you together with your spouse, even if you’re miserable. While he doesn’t want you unhappy, it certainly makes starting an affair and/or disposing of your spouse much easier.
Robert Baratheon
He’s furious and everyone is going to know about it. Robert will complain endlessly to Ned and Lord Arryn about how he found you first, how that useless shit of a husband won’t know what to do with you. Since he does little to hide his disgust, rumors will spread all over court. Hell, he’ll probably say even stupider things when he’s drunk, or he’ll do something stupider, like actually try to aggravate the guy into a fight or a duel. If you’re actually able to get him under control, he has no qualms about having an affair with you… but he may not be subtle about it. So that’s another thing to keep in mind.
Stannis Baratheon
It’s depressingly impressive how willing Stannis is to bury and deny his feelings once he hears you’re promised to someone else. He’ll try to extinguish all the happiness he had with you, bottle up all the memories and feelings that went along with it. This will be fine. He’ll be fine. This iron resolve is easy to maintain if Stannis rarely sees you. If you both are forced to interact even semi-often, it chips away at him, and he can’t help himself from making biting remarks about your spouse when you both visit. He hates feeling this way, he’s never felt it before, and he carries a deep grudge against your spouse and family for making it happen. It’s easier if you write to him, but then Stannis starts keeping those letters and punishing himself by reading them over and over. Eventually he stops entirely, deeming it inappropriate, even if that feels like cutting off one of his limbs.
Davos Seaworth
The old knight is understandably saddened by news of your betrothal and marriage, but it makes sense. Politics-wise, Davos believes he isn’t much of a prize, even when he’s risen to Lord. He should’ve expected this would happen. He’d wish you genuine happiness… But if you were miserable, Davos would feel awful and powerless. If you truly wanted to continue the relationship behind your spouse’s back, his biggest worry would be the secret getting out and your reputation being ruined. He wouldn’t be able to resist forever, but he’d still try to talk you out of it and try to convince you to forget about him.
Margaery Tyrell
She seeks you out the moment she finds out - and that was quickly, because she often keeps tabs on you. Her grandmother warned her about getting so close to her favorite, but it still comes as a terrible shock. Margaery holds you close and promises she’ll make it better, somehow. Maybe she and her grandmother can reason with her family, perhaps you can marry into the Tyrell family, so you both can be together. She’ll fix it, she swears. The thought of someone else being with you is terrible enough, she’ll be even more worried if the person is abusive. Margaery won’t stand for it, and might take a few rare risks for your sake.
Brynden Tully
This stirs up a lot of complicated feelings in the old knight. He knew his relationship with you wouldn’t last forever, that you’d have to marry eventually, and he never wanted to marry…. But he feels like this is his fault, especially if you’re miserable. He could’ve prevented this. Brynden knows he ought to break off the relationship, and he won’t blame you if you do… but he’ll also consider the idea of continuing the relationship. And if you have to go somewhere far away, he’ll still appreciate you sending letters and having a correspondence. The relationship may not be the same long-distance, but he cares a lot about you, and it hurts having you cut from his life.
Edmure Tully
Woe and misery. How much wine is in Riverrun’s stores? He may end up drinking a dent in it by the time the month is out. He almost didn’t believe the news until he heard it from several people, or just you directly. How could this happen? Wasn’t he courting you properly, taking all the steps just the right way? Wasn’t his interest obvious to anyone with eyes? Edmure approaches your family with a bit of a hot head, almost demanding an answer for why they chose whoever over … whoever your spouse is. Edmure doesn’t even care who it is, he hates their guts immediately. More likely than not, he’ll do something foolish, like start a duel. If all else fails, he’ll make sad eyes at you at all the feasts and galas and go into a bit of a depression.
Brienne of Tarth
Brienne is immediately distraught, but also believes she deserves it somehow. This happy relationship just had to come to an end, didn’t it? Well, you two had to be discreet about it to begin with, which didn’t please her … but this alternative feels worse. Brienne switches between trying to stay frosty to make it easier for you two to part, and being unable to hold back her affection and sadness. The best solution she can think of is to stay as your sworn sword, independent of your new husband’s house guards. And gods know, she will come at him with a vengeance if he even dares upset you or lay an unwanted hand on you. That means the relationship could continue, but she dislikes the secrecy even more when you’re married. While she doesn’t like the idea of running away from problems, maybe in certain circumstances, she’d be open to the idea…
Ramsay Bolton
Ramsay is irate, to say the least. Even if you don’t actually know him, you’ve just caught his eye, he’ll become possessive. If you both were romantic before the engagement news, his anger and possessiveness would be even more dangerous. Woe to your spouse if he lives close to the Dreadfort - leave it to Ramsay to think up some “accident” for them to be involved in. And if he finds out they’re involved in some sort of treason or crime, that’s all the better, no matter how flimsy the “crime” is. If he’s feeling especially reckless, he’ll just arrange their murder and take you back right away. Ramsay is a terrible loser, doubly so if it involves one of the few things he actually cares about.
Roose Bolton
On the outside he doesn’t react to the news beyond a silent glare. On the inside, Roose is furious. He had plans for you, plans that may have taken quite a while to get to this point, and now it’s been ruined by someone whose actively working against him… or too stupid to realize what a massive mistake they just made. Roose thinks up various ways to circumvent this and have you to himself. In the meantime, he’ll gladly continue an affair behind your spouse’s back, but that won’t necessarily save them from death. You’ll notice him become increasingly possessive and jealous, even if you have zero interest in your spouse, and you can sense he’ll be holding a deep grudge against whoever arranged this in the first place.
Oberyn Martell
As soon as he hears about the news, Doran has to talk him down from dueling the man…Half his daughters support it, the other half suggest something more subtle. Overyn feels insulted, for one - your affection for each other was obvious, yet your family still made this arrangement. And if he doesn’t get his duel, he will spread all sorts of unsavory, salacious rumors about your spouse, in hopes of creating a scandal that makes your family break the union. Or better, lead to the man dueling Oberyn directly! Oberyn doesn’t even consider continuing your relationship with him an “affair”. You both were together first, and a farce of a marriage you didn’t agree to won’t change that. You just have to make sure he can be discreet.
Doran Martell
While the news of your engagement is depressing, it isn't surprising. He's quite aware of the politics of Westeros, even if his own family doesn't believe it, and he had wind of this engagement. He just thought he could stop it in time. He hides his disappointment, but his family can tell he's withdrawing. Oberyn argues with his brother to go get you and fight, but Doran is a man of silent plans. He'll still love to correspond with you, and you can tell by his letters that he seems hopeful. Maybe he's thought of a way to break it off …
Arianne Martell
Well, isn’t this irksome? Arianne loved having you in her palace and keeping you all to herself, but then this foolish arranged marriage happened… She doesn’t hide her disdain, and she’s annoyed at herself for not doing more to stop it. The princess will spend no small amount of time being angry at the unfairness of it. Once she’s calmed, she doesn’t see why you both can’t continue the relationship behind closed doors. You’re both used to sneaking around, anyway. And Arianne can’t resist ferreting around for some salacious rumors about your spouse… Wouldn’t it be a shame if she found out something that led you to your family cutting the betrothal off?
Tyene Sand
She’s beyond annoyed at this outcome. You were her favorite, in more ways than one, and while she didn’t delude herself into thinking you’d be together forever… well, couldn’t you both have spent your days in court in service to the Martells, or perhaps left forever on a boat to Essos? Why did this have to happen so soon? She’s despondent, much as she tries to hide it, even with her sisters trying to comfort her. She begins to think of plans, just little things … a rumor here, a scheme there. She’ll feel much better if you remain in the Sunspear court, so she can stay close and your relationship can continue.

Do you watch the episodes when they air? YES. Though I won’t be able to next year due to residency schedule :( (It airs 9AM Monday from my side of the country so that’s a clinic schedule boooo)
How often do you rewatch it? I usually do a marathon before the new season airs starting with the most recent season before I go back to the beginning. :)
Do you rewatch the previous episode before the next one airs? Not really.
Do you eat anything while watching? if so, what do you eat? Well for the last season, I watch while eating breakfast. Last year, I started Fasted Weight Training so I hit the gym bright and early for an hour and half then I go home, take a 30 minute break and by 9am I’m ready to take my breakfast and watch the show. Nothing fazes my appetite much. All that was cured when all of us had Anatomy 1st year med and we had to eat in between dissections or we don’t eat at all. lol.
One character that everyone seems to like that you don’t care much for: Tyrion Lannister. Well, book Tyrion. He grosses me out. I only like show Tyrion because Peter Dinklage is amazing.

Favorite scene: Practically the whole of Season 6′s finale. I was rooting for all of them that moment. Sansa and Jon were home. Sansa is the Lady of Winterfell and Jon’s king and the R + L = J theory finally gets confirmation. Cersei’s revenge and the Tyrell’s tragedy (aww Marg :(( ). Arya and Bran going home. Dany sailing west finally. A masterpiece, that finale episode was. Everything from the costumes to the soundtrack. Speechless. And then Season seven hells followed. Ugh smh.
One character you wish got more appreciation: Ghost! Poor boy. :( But of course, Sansa. She gets so much unnecessary hate.
