Haven't done a recovery update in a while, but getting ahead of myself and cinching my corset a bit tighter than usual to wear on party day was A Bad Idea.
Nerve spasms from the chest tube sites on the right (the 'angel wing' site and the one closest to my tummy in particular) put the kibosh on that pretty damn quick. I'm still in a stupid amount of discomfort from the nerves freaking out, so my gorgeous corset is going back on the shelf 'til at least autumn.

I have only ever dated people I have met in person, but I did briefly attempt otherwise. I joined a dating app for about a week before I uninstalled because I found reaching out to people awkward. I joined a Goth Dating Facebook group and in fact three people reached out to me and none were goth.
I am not against dating non-goths (none of the four people I have been in relationships really have been), but it was perplexing why they were in that group and they were really annoying to boot. Yes, one of them was the hollow Earther who told me this after I mentioned what I was in grad school for.
october is such an expensive time of year for a goth femme and this year is no different. i could at least use a pretty masc to carry my shopping bags for me and unabashedly check me out. 💔
