something about ed and oswald is such an. obviously unhealthy relationship. neither of them are capable of holding a healthy relationship with anyone in any capacity. ed? god i dont want to go over his ex-girlfriends. oswald? literally killed the girlfriend of the man he was in love with. only bonds through violence (as we've seen with Martin) because that's what is consistent, working under Fish Mooney and eventually using it to control others.

and as we know from comics, edward had a rough childhood (at best) and he doesnt know what normalcy is and overly attaches to make up for that.

so. a violent, unstable, and codependent relationship is really what they each seek in a relationship. which is each other.

Summary: Edward Nygma is a young man working for the GCPD with a slightly illegal hobby… slightly is an understatement. On top of that, he's been hearing and seeing another person who resembles him and acts like him, however, he's more impulsive, to say the least. Once that other facet of his mind, Riddler, tells him to create connections, Ed listens and gives The Iceberg Lounge a visit.

Oswald Cobblepot is the King of Gotham's underworld. He has a club that's well frequented by outlaws and people of the night, he has allies, what more could he want? He thought he had everything until he met a curious and strange man with an appreciation for riddles.
