"Woah, hey," he said as he broke up the fight that seemed to be growing worse by the moment, "take a minute, go to the other side of the room and calm down," he said as he looked between the two, usually hating being the mediator but feeling as though it was a necessary thing right now. Watching them both huff, they seemed to listen as they went to each side of the room and, in turn, he sighed. "I swear I love this city but the tensions seem to only be growing with most"

rue hated that whenever she was around some of them she had to pretend like nothing had ever happened. over the years there were times it was easier than others. but nonetheless rue had made excuses to stay around, being friends with the other. "turns out double majoring is hard. even when it's stuff you grew up doing your whole life."

peeta looks up at the sound of the jingle. he dusts his floured hands on his apron and pulls on a smile. the bakery ranges from frequent locals who love their morning pastries to the passing tourists. hearing about their day or where they’re going always adds some variety to the shop. he tilts his head slightly at the customer. there’s something familiar about them and yet he swears he’s never seen them enter the bakery before. “hi, welcome in. let me know if there’s anything in particular you’re looking for.”

"there is something mesmerizing about it, isn't there?" the light from the flames danced across her eyes, watching their meal burn, having never been this hands on for these sorts of things before. .｡.:*☆ Despite being an adult now, and living in DC - or, well, maybe exactly because of it - Phoebe was still a socially awkward young woman. Without her family, she usually decided to stick to her books and studies, instead of trying to meet new people. And, today was no different.

However, when Phoebe looked up from her current book again to have a sip from her coffee, the cup almost fell out of her hand. Because of this young woman standing not far from her. Because she awfully reminded Phoebe of someone she actually used to know....
