can the puppets cry, like shed tears and stuff? I don't remember, but, with them being made of cotton and fleece, I don't think they can.

how would the neighbors react to the reader crying, either by laughing too much, yawning or cuz a sad theater play, they would be like huh? Its raining in your eyes?

This actually got me to stop and think.

I guess they wouldn't be able to cry. At least, they won't shed tears. Some people cry without tears, this isn't unheard of. But you're the only person whose eyes leak. With tears to fall.

You'd be the odd one out!

Frank would obviously ask questions. "Is it for protection?"

"What?"

"Crying, is it a defensive mechanism? Several insect and araknids spit acid. -To ward off larger critters. I wonder if your tears are similar..."

How does one react to that???

Are there any day to day inconveniences that being your size causes?

oh absolutely

i can’t bend over and pick things up from the ground when i’m sitting anymore. when i get out of my car my belly and hip are starting to get caught on the steering wheel with the seat all the way back and reclining as far as i can while still being able to reach the pedals. i can’t pull the lever to open the gas cap door without getting out of the car. i can’t shower without sitting down for most of it. drying myself off takes FOREVER even with my massive quick-drying bath sheets. i often get stuck trying to get to my kitchen sink because of how little space there is between my countertop and my fridge. when i get into bed most nights i can feel and hear my box spring breaking under the mattress, so i have to be incredibly mindful of what spots i’m putting my weight on. i can’t put on pants/skirts without sitting down. i can’t put on socks and shoes without doing a crazy contortionist act while sitting down. tidying my apartment is an all-day job and my grabber works overtime. i absolutely have to wait until the accessible stall is free in the washroom at work because i can’t spread my legs wide enough to clean myself in a normal stall; that goes for most stalls in public as well. it’s getting really difficult for me to turn all the way to get things from people at drive-thru windows, i can only use my left hand. 100% of my shirts are crop tops now, whether they were intended to be or not; i have virtually no business-wear and i haven’t been able to find any that regardless. i’ve outgrown bras - not just certain brands or styles, but all bras, period - they do not make bras in band sizes above 60, so i just go braless. it’s nearly impossible for me shave, and when i do try to it takes at least an hour just for my legs. i live on the second floor and i have to stop on the landing after only maybe 8 steps to catch my breath and prepare for the next 8. carrying anything up to my apartment is a herculean task. i’m constantly knocking things over with my ass or my side-boob roll because i have no concept of how much space i take up. i can’t get up from a low chair or couch without having to heave my ass to the very edge and push off from my knees. i’m not able to hold my arms up long enough to do anything with my hair besides a quick messy bun. if i manage to squeeze myself into denim there’s a 90% chance my fly will unzip itself just from the pressure of my belly, so i’m always on the lookout for XYZ moments. if someone takes the parking spot closest to the doors at work and i have to park any further away, i’m a sweaty heaving mess by the time i reach my desk. if i don’t want to be a mess i have to waddle obnoxiously slowly. if i move too quickly my belly makes loud slapping sounds against my upper thighs. booths and bar stools are a no-go.

how did roy and jason's pseudo bond form? if I was reading it correctly, lex and dan had spent a lot more time together before their mating and I don't remember them having any hint of a bond?

Great questions! I've gotten a few asks about this so this is great timing. Roy and Jason are "true mates" which is a nicer way of saying extremely, extremely compatible. Bruce & Clark and Dan & Lex are also highly compatible, to be clear! After mating both couples have a bond -- Dan & Lex exchange emotions and words via the bond, and Bruce & Clark have a very strong connection through their Pack Alpha / Pack Omega roles that probably won't ever truly go away.

But Roy and Jason didn't need to get mated to bond. The moment they met, they both had surprisingly strong physical reactions to the other. Every time they met up in some capacity, the connection got stronger. Then they essentially tempted fate by falling into that connection they used to navigate the condo and find the League files, because they essentially formed a psychic bond as they worked together, and every second they spent using it, the more entrenched it became in their minds.

So it's not just proximity or mating or love, it's a wide array of factors that make them very, very likely to form a bond early. Once they actually mate? It's probably going to be even worse. But it likely rivals the Pack Alpha / Pack Omega bond in intensity, which is why they make such good candidates for those roles (in the future).

I would say the baseline for mating bonds is closer to DanLex, Bruce and Clark are on the far end of normal, and Roy and Jason break the scale entirely once they mate. Tbh that's why I haven't written them in heat/rut yet (fear not it will happen, and soon) because I know once they full send it, it changes everything. And Ra's is going to notice, of course. The same way he's going to notice Bruce's alpha and their pups, and their Pack connections. Because while they're roughly equals (leaders of their respective packs) Ra's does not have what Bruce and Clark have, so he'll need to challenge Clark in other ways than just that bond.

Was it context clues + dawning recognition of Damian’s portrait?

That moment of realization is so juicy—Damian was panic and fear, Dick was icy wrath, and Jason (I’m guessing) will be volcanic anger and capital-T Terror. I’m so curious about his thought process that would lead to the unraveling…especially since Jason read the file on Tim’s abduction.

Ah, it was that he was aware about Braxton because and and Bruce had that phone call i mentioned a few asks back in the Conservator. Everyone is aware that Luthor has Tim's host.

But Jason, wrongly, assumes that Tim has what's happening to him: handlers being given a "obey all of [your handlers] orders" from Mask and thinks Braxton got tim on a loan. for whatever reason.

How would Chimera Shadow play or how what would he consider to be fun for him to do?

Challenging Sonic. I guess some things never change lol!

But it's much less of a "I got to prove I'm better" kinda way... And more of because he loves the challenge in itself. They are still rivals in a way but it's a very friendly kind of rivalry considering the two are much closer in this AU compared to canon! Chimera Shadow may have a billion different abilities, Animal, Doom, and Chaos. But Sonic has determination and is able to take him on despite everything. It's something he admires about Sonic!

He also likes to chill around a lot. When there's no danger happening he sometimes likes to sacrifice some of his energy to fly around with his Doom Wings, soaring through the clouds to feel free. Something he wasn't able to feel for a long time until he finally let go. He also likes to stargaze a lot too!

He also likes doing casual things with those he considers his "found family". It's the little things that mean everything to him. Playing board games, watching movies, visiting places, listening to his friends' fixations, getting his nails painted with Rouge, etc etc. just being in the presence of those he loves is enough for him.

Shadow may be very nonchalant and blunt, but he's very genuine and sincere in every since of the word! He even inherited some of Maria's interests.

Another thing he loves is animals! He loves to pet and care for them! I guess it makes him feel less like an oddity and makes him feel connected to his roots if that makes sense lol! (He really likes snails for some reason).

That feeling of being the only one of his kind is probably also one of the many reasons why he adopted Eclipse.

TLDR; Shadow lives for the small moments while Sonic lives for the thrill of adventure
