“The curiosity of Kyilns” or Kylrs are very strange. They prey solely on Kyiln despite their 50/50 fail to success rate. They cannot be determined as reptile or mammal, their blood is cold but they grow fur and reproduce similarly to mammals and some have scales with warm blood and lay eggs, it varies. Their ears are hard shells that can clamp close as self defense against the voice of a Kyiln though it does not work for more that a few minutes do they must work fast to get their meal. They rely on luring the Kyiln to them using the orb attached to their heads similar to an Angler fish but this orb can fool the mind and become something that would draw out the curiosity of any creature. Though the tactic is focused mostly on Kyiln it can very much work on anyone.

There are two variants of the Kylers as stated above, those with fur and those with scales. Kylrs with scales have the ability to camouflage their bodies while using their orbs to bait Kyilns, giving them a natural advantage, though they are not very common due to the fact that without fur they cannot survive long in the harsh winter seasons though scaly Kylrs with warm blood can survive a little longer making them more common then the cold blooded. Kylrs with fur can withstand the force of nature, hunting can be tricky for them without the ability to camouflage though they manage by hanging from trees and hiding.

As for some reason as to why they hunt Kyiln only, researchers speculate it has to due with the fact that they seem to treat it as a competition among others of their race as if their is some sort of goal to achieve.

The mating process is as followed: Their are no specific genders to the race so either mate may bear child. The two fight each other and the loser is to bear child. There does not seem to be any sort of reproduction process following that as far as research goes because the “mother” seems to already be pregnant moments after the fight is over. Magic is theorized to be involved.

When the child is born, the “mother’s” orb falls off and is fed to the child to support its early stages of growth. When the child comes of age the parents leave it to fend for itself and grow stronger. It is unknown what becomes of the parents, but they show no signs of leaving each other’s side due mainly to the “mother’s” inability to hunt without its orb.
