DO YOU KNOW THIS CHARACTER?
GREY TRACE from Upgrade (2018)
Yes, I know them.
I've only heard of them.
No, I don't know them at all.
just watched upgrade (2018). heavy spoilers below the cut
i really fucking loved this movie. the twists felt like there was always a man behind the man, let me explain.
so like, you start the movie and think serk is behind asha's murder. then you find out serk was hired by his brother fisk to do it. then you find out fisk, eron, everyone, was part of stem's plan for basically The Matrix.
god. that fucking ending. where stem practically kills grey and puts him in a VR world where his wife is still alive and he's in a hospital bed recovering from the crash THAT STEM CAUSED THROUGH ERON.
it's so fucking videodrome.
i also liked the fact that the one non-binary character is one of the most moral people in the movie.

Man I really want somebody to write a fic where Grey Trace and Eddie brock meet! Love the idea of them bonding over falling in love with the machine/symbiote that controls their bodies. Not to mention both of them are in fantastic movies!
Logan Marshall-Green as Grey Trace in Upgrade (dir. Leigh Whannell, 2018)
&
Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Adrian Griffin in The Invisible Man (dir. Leigh Whannell, 2020)
