More AU Ideas And Theories
First of all I accept, in a fandom where fun is the priority, I like to think seriously. Not always but anyway. Because that's just how I think. I have a vivid imagination and I like to create stories but I also want them to be somewhat logical. I think the same way about Countryhumans.
Despite its flaws, I love Countryhumans. I don't think I'll ever find another fandom like it again, except for alternatives like Countryballs and a few examples.
While being part of the fandom and consuming content, this question came to my mind intermittently: Where are the humans? Is Countryhumans are humans or there is more?
I agree, the possibility of Countryhumans being human or humanoid is already being discussed but it's not the only possibility. We can broaden the concept. I believe we can produce better content if we allow ourselves to think "simply" about countries.
Everyone may have different opinions on this matter but as long as it can be placed within a logical framework, there's no problem.
Personally, I believe that countryhumans and normal humans are different, interconnected and influence each other. This is on of sources of my ideas. But how? In what sense? (One other source is "What if countryhumans were real?")
☆☆ I've always focused on a single AU concept in this blog but I actually have more CH AU ideas related to this. They are may similar or different from each other but they all focus on the same core idea. In this post, I'll briefly mention some other AU ideas and theories that came to mind:
1. Countries and people have lived together in the same world from the very beginning and they interact with each other. So, this is quite normal in narratives about the present day. They experienced events together and witnessed each other's experiences. They can directly or indirectly influence each other's lives, appearances, choices, etc. (I think I've already mentioned this in my early posts. This is the AU I'm using.)
2. They both live in the same world but they don't see each other. Like humans can't see souls but still influencing each other. Therefore, they may generally be unaware of each other or they may resort to more spiritual methods when communicating. Both sides may be unaware of each other, one side may be aware while the other is unaware or one side may be aware beforehand and the other learns later.
3. From the very beginning, people were inside countries in every sense. Think about it... Aren't we truly, logically speaking, within the borders of countries? Most people are, if not all of them at all times. What if this were also true in another sense if living countries are real? So, the country was the organism and the human was the beneficial/harmful microorganism. Just as microorganisms live in the body and have functions, we humans can be similar to them for living organisms. Of course, if that were the case, the interaction between the two sides would be different.
So where did this idea come from: From Planethumans. Not in all of them but sometimes the Earth character were portrayed as being aware that humans lived on or in it. What if the same is true for Countryhumans? That's why normal humans might not appear around in some CH works. Of course, this is just a theory.
4. Countryhumans can actually be ordinary people who represent their country because they are representatives or possess special powers. This is already a point discussed in this and similar fandoms, so there's no need to explain it at length. But let me mention one of the places I took inspiration from while thinking about this idea: Hetalia.
5. Countries and people live in the same world but the people within them are different. In other words, people are beings that resemble countries but are not countries themselves. What indicates that a person is a native of a country or belongs to it is not only their identity but also their physical appearance; their body structure resembles that of the country and they bear the symbol of their flag on their bodies. But as you might expect, people are less tall and stronger than countries. Some people remain closer to their country and serve it, while others continue to live their normal lives. Where is the idea came from: From Countryballs.
6. Countryhumans are actually aliens. So they don't belong to our world; they came from another planet, perhaps another galaxy. While the timing of this is highly probable, it's wonderful to know that there is other life in space. (Or not?..) In such a situation, the extent to which the two species interfere with each other varies from scenario to scenario. But one thing is certain: once both sides realize that each other's symbols exist in the other's world, they won't easily let go of each other.
7. Countryhumans actually live in a parallel universe version/s of the real world where humans live. (AU in AU, lol...) You're probably familiar with the definition of a parallel universe. In one universe, countries are lifeless, while in the other, countries are alive. Whether there are people there or whether they live alongside humans is unknown but their connection continues in an invisible way. (For example, if a country is to be established in the real world, that country will be born in other side.)
Bonus: What if countryhumans are actually beings from the fourth dimension? (To be fair, this part is connected to some of the parallel universe ideas I've mentioned so far. Maybe even all of them. So this possibility could be intertwined with other possibilities. Therefore, this part is a bonus. If you're unfamiliar with the concept of the fourth dimension, you can research it; after some thought, this possibility might make sense to you.) If a living country and a human can meet within the borders of the same country, then the following question inevitably arises: How do we manage to be both inside and opposite a country at the same time?! Simultaneously inside and opposite! Don't question it too much, it's brain-tiring, even I'm tired of it. But the answer to this question might be the fourth dimension. Because this concept of dimension also involves being both inside and outside of something at the same time. Whether this is natural or not may vary depending on the preferred idea of au. But this bonus seems quite reasonable to me as well. I don't know if I made the my main AU will be included to this.
That's all for now. If I have any other ideas about this, I'll add them here. Thanks for reading! If you have any similar ideas, please write them in the comments.
