LONG GREY'S ANATOMY RANT: because I love Meredith Grey and just cried at a bunch of tiktok edits

I will always defend Meredith Grey to every hater. If all the Meredith Grey defenders died one day I would be dead and gone and 6 feet under immediately.

That woman is one of the most loyal people on that show and yes she's done many stupid things and she has messed up many a time, but you can never say that she wasn't there for her people. One particular instance that I kind of hated Mer was when she didn't call Amelia or any of Derek's family when he died. That was messed up. But eventually her and Amelia healed and truly became sisters. She was still grieving from Lexie and losing her actual sister and her abandonment issues and all of her family shit really screwed with her view of what a family SHOULD be. So when Amelia and all of Derek's other sisters were pressing on her for baby photos or calls or whatever, she had no idea how to reciprocate because all her blood family that she's had (up until Lexie) had neglected her her whole life.

More on Mer's loyalty- she's always the first person to jump in on her friends plans and say that she's down with whatever they think is right. She fights for people no matter what the consequences are because that's who she is. When Alex was in trouble with the law, when Meredith helped Sam Bello avoid deportation and got her an amazing job with Cristina in Switzerland, when Riggs initially came in and she was like "do we hate him?" With Owen because she trusted that Riggs had done something worth hating, (yes, Owen is a bastard who I do hate but we can't say that he wasn't an incredible friend and father. Horrible husband tho.) And when she literally committed insurance fraud for a little girl whose family had just immigrated to America and were being screwed TF over by the system. When she stood with Jo and said "I know exactly who Jo Wilson is." My girl may have her faults but she is loyal in a way that will have me admiring her for maybe my whole life.

Hi Anon!!!! I don't really like it but mainly bc I don't like Jules.

I liked Mika and Helm better, but they ruined it. I also felt that Jules/Mika came out of nowhere.

If you asked Meredith to pick a girl: top 10

Callie. This is obvious. See how long she can go without calling her "sexy, hot dirty" plus in Meredith's mind "she'd know what she's doing"

Arizona. Same as above but Meredith just isn't as physically attracted to her. Her ass is good, but Callie's is better.

Addison. Once again a woman Meredith will admit is very hot, but this is the first time "hot" outweighs "the sex would actually be good". Will casually amit to "having considered it before"

This is my hottest take: this is where Bailey goes. She'd first start with "Bailey is very pretty" but would eventually work her way to "mommy issues she could fuck" a strange comment that's a surprise tool for later.

Carina. Hot. Into women. Meredith thinks it would be a good time, but also doesn’t really have anything invented in the idea besides "god. That would be hot"

Amelia. The good part is that physically she looks like Derek but a girl. That is also the bad part. It would be really tough to go all the way while thinking of her dead husband (but who's to say she hasn't done it before)

Teddy really isn't her type, but she would think that the sex would be at least okay and at this point that's where she's at.

Jo, the inverse of Teddy. She's hot but Meredith doesn't think the sex would be that good. Meredith also doesn't have that much emotional investment in the idea of what could happen if something did.

Izzy. This is the point where Meredith remembers Izzy existed and says she totally would have done her "with less than three shots of tequila"

Christina. Of course whoever she's talking to is a bit confused at this. Meredith starts by explaining that "she loves her kids and knows Christiana never wants any" which sounds a lot less like "women she'd have sex with" and more "long term relationship". Eventually they hit the "Christina is a version of my mom I can be a friend with and not the child that ruined her life" otherwise known as "A Part of Mommy Issues She Couldn't Fuck"

I would post a list of "if you asked Meredith to pick a girl (to have sex with), who do I think she'd canonically pick & in what order" but I also feel like it might cause a fight. Post it anyways?
