A black dragon circled up from the forest, only the greys and whites splattering his body revealing the dragon in the still-dark sky. He landed with a heavy-sounding thump beside the Sky Wing, sending loose stones skittering down the outcrop.

"Good work, Grimble." The Sky Wing fixed her companion with sharp red pupils. The unnatural eye colour sent a shiver down his spine. Despite the Night Wing's impressive bulk, the Sky Wing's slim, but tall body loomed over him.

"I always do what's asked of me, my Queen." Grimble pulled his dark wings close to his body and lowered his speckled head, two bright slashes of red marking his face.
