I want to sometime but I've never had the energy nor the ideas at the right time 😔
I HAVE SOME FROM TIMES BEFORE So they may be in there just cause they're my fav hcs but imma try and think of other things, imma go a more modern au for this
Barty who had overbearing parents and Sybill who had neglectful ones (this is a repeat)
I can highkey see preacher's troubled daughter sybill and a devout congregant's rebel son Barty and ohhhhh they just are so perfect for each other because they're stuck in a place that's not made for them and they're both outcasts and they're made for each other (this is a repeat but I'm expanding on this)— so like I've said it before, i believe Barty believes there's a "God" but high-key hates him and just thinks it's full of shit, and that Barty is the better than God, he is one ofc, so of course the congregation And the town in general don't take too kindly to it, he's seen as a source of the devil taking root in his town, while on the other hand, Sybill hasn't really done much besides be curious about other things(and religions) and be strange and she was immediately labeled as troubled too. Barty initially went up to Sybill bc he was curious, but eventually that curiosity just became interest, and he wanted nothing more to figure out this girl who was supposedly such an enigma to everyone else, and Sybill... she guessed she didn't mind having company, but she eventually got curious about him too, since he said he was a God
The two of them don't care about what everyone else thinks, Sybill in a more genuinely doesn't care, and Barty in a more superficial way, he cares but he acts like he doesn't so that he keeps the upper hand
Sybill would own like a crystal or an oddity shop, while Barty would probably work next door at someplace with a completely different vibe, maybe a tattoo/piercing parlor
I think they've both got times when they're not the most in touch with reality and the world around them, Sybill with her dreams and seeing things(possibly hallucinations in a modern au) and Barty when he gets paranoid that people are out for him/everyone sees through him and hates him(including Sybill, who's the one person who's not supposed to be that way) and through much trial and error, they both have managed to know how to help/be there for each other through it, but that's after almost a year, maybe two of their relationships, they're not used to this (caring enough for a person to help them)(I think Sybill would care about people but she's never had anyone to be able to care for with how much she was ostracized)
Barty would totally get Sybill's name tattooed on him just to prove his dedication

Sybill would read books to Barty if it ever gets too quiet, or recite something she knew by heart (Sybill is always humming something or talking(to herself or Barty) so that's usually rare)
Barty steals little trinkets and stuff for her to sell or keep if she wants but never tells her where he got them otherwise she'd give them back cause of the bad vibes (sometimes she does anyways and he wonders how she knows)
I really need to think more on their sex life, but I am slightly of the belief that Barty was Sybill's first and that fact drove him wilddddd, he felt like he had so much power over her, and he wanted that feeling again and again and again
Other than that, I don't think they do anything extremely kinky, OR ☝️ on the flip side, they'd be that quirky but cute couple on the outside but in reality below the shop there's like a sex dungeon or something and I can honestly see that for them (duality, and very dependent on the au)(I do lean towards the second because they're both the types to explore feelings and sensations and things like that)
I think Sybill pulls out what little sweetness Barty has in him, in a slightly boyish way, he'd want to impress her, buy her things, flowers (but he'd deny this if ever brought up in front of anyone)
Sybill ropes Barty into making dreamcatchers with her (his sell better too)
They're not cis, either of them, Sybill is like a girlspiritthing and Barty is a boygodthing, like they don't really speak of it but they know they can feel it in each other
Since Sybill is so curious about religion she'd have tried worshipping Barty at least once, a couple times honestly, and it just went to his head (and dick)
But in the end she does not fuck with worshipping him(or just him) I think she'd most likely be a practicing Wiccan or omnitheistic
They get into arguments sometimes because obviously Barty does not believe what she does(and believes she's wrong)
Barty eats absolutely everything (he has a refined taste but genuinely, he's not a picky eater) and Sybill is the pickiest eater he's ever met
They'd have a weird mix of pets, like a parrot, chinchilla, snakes, cats, bearded dragons, you name it (they'd foster, more cause of Sybill, Barty was done after 2)
Barty gets arrested a couple times and Sybil tried to bail him out when she can but it happens enough times that sometimes she just leaves him (the people she knows, or the customers at her store are used to it by now)(her tip jar is her 'bail Barty out' jar in reality and everyone knows it)
Sybill is really curious about what goes on inside Barty's head, because unlike a lot of people, she can see that he's acting, but can't tell for a while what's behind the act. So she tries a whole bunch of things (spells, different types of reading, etc) to try and read him more, but nothing worked. So she had to go back to the tried and true— observation— and that told her a lot more about him than anything else. She's never met someone so convinced that he's something more than human while acting so human all the time. But once she's got him more figured out, he feels less far away and she likes that. She likes having someone on her level, but still different than everyone else, someone who accepts her, not even accepts, just knows that's how she is and likes her for her, they match wavelengths in some sort of way, and it feels like her perfect match
Barty on the other hand is trying to dissect how Sybill is like this, how she can believe in all this stuff that's so clearly not real. How she doesn't understand that she's got a god right in front of her? Why doesn't she pay him more attention (at first)? And once he knows her, he's enraptured, she's so odd, so different than everyone else, and he wants to keep her. He's interested in her, not only physically and romantically, but really interested. He's obsessed with every quirk she has, her way of thinking, how she walks talks, all of it. It's hard to describe his attraction for her, but there's also the fact of belonging in being different together. She doesn't tell him he's wrong, that he's crazy, if anything she does the opposite, she believes him. And that hit him right in the place of him that wanted to be wanted without change, so of course he fell for her
