RWBY V8 - What About a Krampus Grimm? Its relation to the Schnee Family Struggle.
The idea came to me especially in regards to Whitley/Willow. The idea that there’s essentially a Grimm-like mythical creature that is, as the video (by Frederik Knudsen of Down the Rabbit Hole fame) notes,
“...the tenebrous [def: Dark; gloomy.] counterpart to Saint Nicholas, poised to punish nasty little children...”
“...Santa’s most brutal helper...”
It’d be another parallel to Nicholas Schnee, except in Grimm form. And I’d also imagine that in the state Atlas is probably in right now, having that kind of Grimm (since they’re noted as a species of mystical creatures that attack in packs) spawn around in Atlas, and Whitley’s/Willow’s emotional state, having it around, even just as mooks for Weiss to deal with while trying to help the shattered remains of her family would possibly be another element to the Schnee Family’s struggles.
Like Whitley wants to find his own way, but he’s led astray as a result of not really having any concrete identity of his own, and the Krampus comes after him in a metaphorical “kidnaps/punishing naughty children” sort of fashion... It'd act like a dark perversion of St. Nick's legacy, similar to Jacques Schnee but also different in it's own way.
Granted given how stuffed Volume 8 is, it might not be there, but it’s still something fun to consider. Plus it kinda mirrors the Hound Grimm in recent episodes, with the whole kidnapping a child angle.
Also I totally didn’t suggest this just because the video happened to call itself “the Grimm Archives” >_> <_<...
