I was looking into getting a Tegu and i was wondering, How many times do they eat and what do they usually eat
Tegus, like most reptiles need a variety in their diets. That being said, they can also be picky eaters and have favourite foods, disliked foods, etc. You have to work with them to find a good balance of what they will eat and what they NEED to eat to remain healthy.
Now, I’ve never owned a tegu, nor have I done extensive research on how to care for one so I shall leave it to the experts to answer your feeding questions.

I would also advise you to ask questions and get a feel for how it really is caring for a tegu before you decide to go down that path, you really don’t want to make the commitment and find out that it isn’t the right one for you. To work around that possible problem, you should ask around Tumblr, maybe check out an expo and ask some breeders or even better, send an email to a respected breeder or go visit them (if possible)!
