(1/2) Our work with artists sometimes overflows happily into work with other clients, like collectors and museums. For example, a client recently brought in this work, Holler (c. 2008), an etching on paper by @guggenheim fellow James Siena. The old frame (shown here) was breaking down, wasn't protecting the artwork, and our client felt the design didn’t do much for the art — she wanted to re-frame. Since Siena himself is a longtime Bark client, our designer Amy Hinten was able to reach out to the artist directly and consult with him about how he’d frame the work. Since Siena had framed the same print for a show at @pacegallery years back, Hinten created a design based on the artist’s preferences for his work. #jamessiena #Barkframeworks #guggenheimfellow #Customframes #woodshop #woodworking #worksonpaoer #etchingonpaper #framedesign #customframing #oakframes #reframing https://www.instagram.com/p/CRXNiWYlPvG/?utm_medium=tumblr
