“You are not under my jurisdiction, so I cannot stop you. But you’d be wise to listen.”

“The Pillar of the World, in times long past, was the site of the gods’ council; it is the most sacred and untouchable construct in this world. Many have gone inside, seeking the truth, yet I know of only one who has ever returned - alive or dead.”

“I’m sure you have others out there who care for you, hm? They’d worry terribly if you were to disappear. Don’t you dare let them down, not for one silly little day trip.”

"Oh! Is that somebody else in your guild? I've never seen a Pokémon like that before!" Jace stared up at the Hydreigon for a moment... then leaned in toward Tanner and lowered his voice to a whisper. "That's not your guildmaster, is it? How much trouble are you gonna be in? Surely it can't be THAT bad, right?" (@sometimes-jumping-through-hoops)

“I’m not even going to bother telling you off about this now, not that this would be the first or last time... just get that ‘mon to the medic bay and come see me later. Don’t test my patience about it, either!”

Why is there a rule for needing three members to a team? Isn't it two normally?

“Say you’re out adventuring with one little buddy and one of you gets badly injured. They’re too heavy for you to carry. You try to stay and protect them, and you run out of food or become overwhelmed. You run for help, and they’re left defenseless in a dungeon. Countless casualties I’ve seen could’ve been prevented with a third pair of hands to keep them in check.

“Adventures for two is a nice idea. Romantic, even, if you’re into that sort of junk. But it’s just not realistic, safe nor sustainable, no matter how tough you think you are. Not here, at least, not with the sorts of jobs we get. If the way we work doesn’t suit your fancy... the idiots up north of here will probably take you. Whether or not you’d want to work in a place like that, though, is on you.”

“They make themselves out to be a ‘guild for everyone’, seeking to better the region for everyone’s sake as if that’s not what we’re doing already. They make a mountain out of a Drilbur hill, trying to tarnish our name and make a reputation for themselves, but the lot of them are incompetent. Their leadership is too lenient, their training virtually nonexistent. The only poor saps who still sign up there are either children, patriotic locals or those too scared to look someone like me in the eye. Their attitude may look good to the civilians, yes, but they wouldn’t know a job well done if it slapped them in the face.”
