I'm making a strap for the guitar I've been playing (my dad's from the 70's). I really love the feel of tablet woven straps, and you can make all kinds of patterns.

I'm very please by how it is turning out, but let me tell you it was a journey to get to this point. First, my inkle loom broke while I was warping, so I had to transfer the warp over to my heddle loom. Then, I had issues with the card threading. I still don't know how much was a me issue and how much was the pattern. After re-threading the cards 3 times I finally got the pattern to work.

Since i cannot afford a guitar strap and had a bunch of excess fabric from my Urara bag and extra hardware and scraps from my meisho doto bag, I decided to make my own. Very pleased with the turn out and now I can play my guitar more comfortably.

It’s my partner’s old strat they had from ages ago and since have given it to me since they got an esp instead. We’ve been defacing it and the logo for yrs, especially now after that whole fender fiasco of a copywriter on guitar bodies bs. So dumb.
