Because I cut my hair, to many I am considered a Manmukh Sikh - “Manmukh literally means To follow ones mind or desires without regards for anyone else“
Because I am considered a “Manmukh Sikh”, I apparently “have no belief or understanding of the Naam (God’s Existence), Shabad (Word of the Guru), Hukam (Will of the Almighty), Atma (Soul), or God (Spirit or Sat Guru). Consequently, they have no understanding of the ultimate purpose of life, their relationship with God, and the Way of God (Gurmat).”
“They often prefer to criticise others rather than consider their own behaviour and life.“
Does whoever wrote this, not see the hypocrisy in their words? Specifically in the quote above? In the eyes of others, I am denied a connection to my Guru ji. I have no relationship with Waheguru, nor can I have faith in Gurbani, because I cut my hair…
I don’t know how a Sikh could write this about their fellow brothers/sisters who don’t keep their hair, or consume alcohol/meat/drugs. Everyone is on their own path. Everyone is equal. Everyone can choose to have and build their own relationship with Guru ji.
My Sikhi is something much deeper, richer and stronger than something as minuscule and meaningless as my appearance.
If you do not see God in all, you do not see God at all.
May Waheguru continue to bless, help, and love you all.
