Gywll is a Plague dragon, she's never tried to hide that. There have been those who have even attacked her for fear of the destruction she may bring- But she was not homeless for long. A peaceful group of Dryads welcomed her into their home and taught her how to channel her inborn element to benefit the forest they call home. After all, nothing can live forever. With care and forethought, death and disease can be used to keep the forest at large healthy. It was in that forest that Gywll came across Ayden. He was traveling from his home clan to another nearby and had come to rest by a trickling stream. He woke with a start to find Gywll snout-to-snout with him. It had been a long time since she'd seen another dragon! In return for allowing her to travel with him, she showed him the secret paths through her forest and cut a whole week off his journey. At the forest's edge, she made the decision to follow him- At least for a season or two.

In Welsh folklore, the gwyll is a female fairy or spirit who haunts lonely roads in the Welsh mountains and leads travellers astray. They are depicted as hunched, old and ugly, and are universally wicked.

If you encounter a gwyll, either during the night or on a foggy day, you will become lost, regardless of how well you know the area, or who you are with. A famous gwyll is the Old Woman of the Mountain, who would utter strange cries to frighten off wanderers.
