Okay so I just want to get some shit clear that a lot of people don't seem to understand about mutant blood colours in Homestuck and it pisses me the fuck off Now I want you to picture Alternian society as a giant workplace. In a workplace, there are different workers who all do different things and all have different rights. The colours on the haemospectrum can be likened to these roles that the workers fill - you have rusty little janitors down the bottom, and the fuchsia manager at the top. What a lot of people seem to think is that mutantblood is one of these roles - generally either below rust, or in some of the sillier cases, between rust and fuchsia (obviously none of these people understand how a colour wheel works either) No That's not how it works If the haemocastes are employee roles, then mutantbloods are NON-EMPLOYEES - i.e. they have ZERO EMPLOYEE RIGHTS and are to be REMOVED FROM THE PREMISES BUT That does NOT mean they have, for example, lesser lifespans than lowbloods, or lesser strength Think of it this way You need a specialised person to fill a specialised role For example, a guard needs to be strong and alert, while a janitor needs to know his way around and have basic cleaning skills But you don't NEED to be a janitor to know how to clean, and you don't NEED to be a guard to be strong - non-employees can have owe traits too As far as we know, the only thing that the Vantas mutation changes is he ACTUAL VISIBLE COLOUR OF THE BLOOD ITSELF - not lifespans, not body strength, not any other haemospectral headcanons you have The haemospectral traits of the Vantases are completely unknown, and in my personal opinion, should stay that way.
