i think if someone asked usopp to hold a baby he would be nervous at first- he's used to dealing with kids ages 6 and up, but babies are a lot more fragile and what if he accidentally hurts them-
and then as soon as the baby is in his hands he automatically holds them super gently. neck support and everything. the baby is totally chill, smiling and making noises. and then he's like oh no this is too adorable i want one
The first baby that Usopp holds is Olvia.
He never intended to, he avoided doing so multiple times, because that was Franky and Robin's baby and he didn't want to screw up and harm her. But he didn't want his friends getting angry at him because "he doesn't like their baby."
So he started working more, updating the clima tact, playing with Luffy. He managed to avoid it without suspicion for months.
Until one day, Franky has Olvia in his arms and Luffy breaks some part of the ship, and the next thing Usopp knows is that a baby is shanked in his arms.

Give me humans sitting on Earth slowly coming to the conclusion that when we look up not only are we not alone, someone out there is alive because of one of us. That no matter what we think of ourselves a whole species thinks highly of us because we helped save the galaxy. Give me humans who figure out how to send a probe to Erid filled to the brim with messages for Grace and footage of a monument being raised that reads his name, his crews names, and then āin memory of the 22 Eridians who lost their lives on the journey to save the stars.ā

Taking up Japanese as a side project for myself has reminded me of something.
So like a long time ago I had a professor that I absolutely adored. She happened to be Japanese American. She grew up speaking Japanese at home but never really spent a lot of time in Japan. She mostly spoke with other Japanese Americans and read books.
So one day early in her teaching career thereās an exchange student from Japan whoās having a hard time understanding a concept so she explained it to him in Japanese and then he looked absolutely rattled. Like in shock. Pale.
This is how she learned that the way she speaks Japanese makes her sound like a gang member.
Japanese doesnāt exactly have cuss words in the same way as English does but imagine that the nicest professor youāve ever had pulls your paper over and says āOkay listen here you little piece of shit Iām gonna fucking explain this to you. Violently.ā
