Compilation of Lynda Carter's moments from Battle of Network Stars #1 (1976) and Lyle Waggoner in Battle of Network Stars #3 (1977), both representing the Wonder Woman show, first in ABC then in CBS.

As a side note, Patrick Duffy who competed with Lyle in two events, also ended up playing Steve Trevor in the DCAU Justice League cartoon. He also starred alongside Lynda in the TV movie "Danielle Steel's Daddy" (1991).

Obviously, the Rivals writers have seen Battle of the Network Stars. Nice nod to some bizarre TV shit that would never happen today. The liability insurance would never cover it.

While I was technically out of the womb when the first Battle aired, it was just: I was quite literally still wet behind the ears. My husband, however, is a few years older than me and remembers watching these specials on TV.

The seventies were a whole different planet, I swear.
