you know, I've been thinking about allistic people and their tendency to frame autism as inherently consisting entirely of "deficit". so I decided to write a short essay describing the neurotypical experience in the same dismissive tone, language and mindset as they describe us, so maybe they can understand how it feels.
please keep in mind that the tone of this is a joke, and that you should not take this as a personal attack if you are allistic.

I really pity allistic people. they're sooo silly. they'll read so much into the silliest thing, and it's not even anything worth talking about! it's just one sentence, and they're reading implications into it that wasn't even there! and of course, they'll never know what a special interest's like! like... ugh, can you imagine how empty their lives are, without a special interest? how do they know what they want to do with their lives? they can barely communicate properly anyway, so it's not like we'd ever know what's inside their heads. what, talk to one? wow, it's like you don't know that allistic people don't actually communicate, they're just making mouth noises to signal emotions. nothing they say has actual meaning.
