*Undercover mission infiltration with Bruce and Hal*

Bruce : Hal, let's make out.

Hal : *Spits his drink*

Bruce : Yeah Hal I'm sure. That will give us a good alibi.

Hal under is breath : Thank God Clark dropped out and I took his place...

Bruce : What did you say?

Hal : Nothing! Come here let's make ourselves an alibi!

*He pulls Bruce towards him and they have a heavy make-out session. Who's getting a little carried away.*

Bruce : Alright. It's enough. People aren't paying attention to us anymore.

Hal giddy an drunk on kisses : Hunhun...

Bruce hiding his smile : Come on fly boy, we have a mission to finish before we can continue.

Hal : Hunhun...

Hal : Did you say continue?

Hal : Spooky-

Hal : Bruce come back!

Hal : What did you mean by that!

Okay but imagine Bruce who is used to falling in love with people who hurt him physically/mentally as well as are on the opposite side of the law (Talia, Selina, Harvey, Khoa...)

And then he falls for Hal. Hal is a hero like him, a good man, a friend. Bruce would never have to argue morals with him and Hal would never actually hurt him, so for once Bruce isn't worried. He thinks he doesn't have to worry about it at all, because he trusts Hal wholeheartedly.

And then you have the fucking Parallax arc.

Odyssey-esque Batlantern au wherein Hal experiences a grueling decades long epic adventure through space and time while Bruce waits for him back on earth, fighting his own battles against villains and wanna be suitors motivated only by the prospect that Hal's still alive.
