☀️— The midday break was hardly a break. Zipping around the city and doing whatever he could would hardly be anybody's idea of a break, but outside of after work, it was the only time he had to keep track of the goings on of the city.

At the moment, though, Clark had actually taken a break. Well... a break from his 'break'. The man had perched on a skyscraper with a coffee, looking out at the Metropolis. He'd be hard pressed to say that the city didn't look beautiful from so high up.

Even from over 1,000 feet in the air he could hear the noise of the city below. He could see to Gotham across the bay. It was chilly too, but that didn't much bother him.

the anxiety doesn't disappear;; but cujo shrinking down to the size of a chihuahua was a lot less intimidating.

"ghost puppy, I can work with. hellhound? not so much" she's talking fast, a finger pointed towards the kid and then the dog that was racing towards him. "you tell him to stay like that."

It's not a smell she's familiar with, and if her ears don't deceive her (they never do), an almost inhuman heartbeat to match.

But he looked like a litle boy.

She's cautious in her approach (though could stand to be more so, because approaching any young kid on the street at night is a recipe for calling the police), holding out her pack of spearmint gum as an offering.

the words are harsh. fired out at the kid without a second thought. but hey--- what else was she supposed to say? she's not exactly a fan of supernatural things. it makes her anxious. the whole situation was making her anxious.
