i am in a very halfjay mood. do you have any ramblings / headcanons?

i can come up with some ^w^ might not be halfjay specifically, moreso half moon + jayfeather headcanons

in more recent moons (asc/cs) jayfeather spends a lot of time sleeping! i imagine he doesn't typically have dreams where he can see unless a starclan cat is also in the dream, so i feel half moon and other cats he's friends with visit him all the time.

some of the cats who visit him are the cats from jay's wing's era! in my headcanons he was really good friends with most of them and knows them really well.

specifically regarding his dreams, if he is seeing, i feel like he'd have extremely vivid and abstract dreams. leaning much much much more into the "completely and utterly absurd" type of dreams people have sometimes.

he's definitely not old but i feel he's adopting some of the traits of an old grouchy person, nitpicky + a bit of 'back in my day' talk.

jayfeather is very methodical and has a daily routine he goes by every day. he hates going against it and doesn't even consider other options most of the time.

in an ideal world i'd like jayfeather and dovewing to make up, but i also like the tension between dovewing and jay/lion/fire/other cats involved in the po3/oots prophecies/thunderclan generally. so it's a bit complicated!

jayfeather is the closest in canon wc they've gotten to my idealistic hyper-specific personality i like giving disabled wc characters (this is more like a fun fact than a headcanon).

half moon to be is black/white + greyish creams and browns. she has really unnatural patterning (stars and sort of "cloudy" shapes.). i imagine her having round and soft features with slightly curled fur.

i always get her mixed up with moth flight in my head, specifically in looks. i'd make them related in some way if i were to edit the family tree!

she's very feminine and definitely fits into the 'love interest' box, though i also imagine her (especially when alive) to be spunky in certain aspects! in death she's had so long to contemplate so many things she's become much more calm and wise, probably very nonchalant and dismissive.

during the time between her death & her discovering jay's wing had been reincarnated into jayfeather, i imagine she spent a lot of time thinking of scenarios with jay's wing. how their lives could've gone differently, completely wild alternate universes, etc. i feel like her perception of jay's wing dulled over time, becoming not particularly accurate until meeting jayfeather, in which she remembered what he was actually like.

half moon despite dying very old, is really young in starclan! like 20~~~ moons, young twenties. i feel like she likes her younger form more, generally the time she was with jayfeather (in which i imagine her being a young adult).

half moon is one of the most respected cats within starclan (being so old, on par with the clan founders) but is generally dismissive towards making and involving herself in prophecies/omens (minus po3/oots, that was her time to shine, and since then she's tuckered out). i feel like she spends a lot of time watching the cats of the living, specifically wandering around the mortal realm! following jayfeather and other cats around, etc.

this is a very specific headcanon of mine but i feel like jayfeather is very cold all the time (physically, in temperature), unless half moon is around. her spirit is warm and 'fuzzy' of sorts and it helps him tell when she's there.

i hope this is good? there are certain canon cats and wc ships i definitely like but i'm not very good at actually thinking about anything related to canon wc. i want to get "into it" (??????) but i think it being so long since i've read the books is hindering me xp
