Big Trouble in Little China deserves to have textbooks written on it. It's a full blown action dark fantasy that deftly undercuts the tropes of the action genre. Add a predominantly Asian American cast along with Kurt Russell as good ol' Jack Burton and throw Horror Legend John Carpenter behind the camera, and you've got yourself an unforgettable piece of cinema.
