what's the big deal about halifax ?

This is why we should always welcome in new fans to the ship! We get to relive all these moments again like when we first learned them ourselves. Come walk with me Willmack virgins.

SidCros runs a training camp in Halifax (this is where he is from) over the summer. The training camp is known as "Team Canada Camp" as it is usually heavily Canadian. It is invite only and a huge praise to get invited.

This past summer Mack is invited to train (most likely cause he was a shoe in for the Olympics and he had just participated in Worlds). The fandom obvs did not know this ahead of time. Then an anon comes to one of the OG Willmack blogs and reveals not only is Mack in Halifax training but SO IS WILL.

We later learn Will was not invited to the camp. But rather just invited by Mack to come along with him (this was confirmed in the Spittin Chiclets pod this fall). No one had any idea Will was coming until the last minute.

Why is this weird? First, Will is American and usually Americans do not get an invite (even though it has happened a few times before). Second, Mack just rocked up with Will like if I am training at this super special camp so must my super special 4th overall draft pick? BFR Mack. Weirdest IRL shit he has ever done. Told this story to my IRL who plays hockey in beer league with me and they just replied "wow he is rude who would do that".
