CLEVELAND, OH — First, all new arrivals were halted. Then, funding was cut—and now, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits have come to an end for many because of the national spending bill.
Three years ago, Akbar Shenwari resettled in Cleveland with his family of seven from Afghanistan.
The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) helped him get on his feet and find a job, while government services like SNAP helped cover groceries.
This is so insanely corrupt, I can’t even believe it.
More than half the donors to Trump’s $400 million White House ballroom just won over $50 billion in new federal contracts in six months.
And here’s the part that should make your blood boil.
Sixteen of these 27 donors were facing federal enforcement actions, antitrust reviews, labor cases, and securities charges. Many of those cases have been quietly dropped or scaled back since Trump took office. You write a check, your legal problems disappear. That’s not a coincidence.
The White House won’t even release the full donor list. They’re hiding it on purpose, because daylight is the one thing pay-to-play can’t survive. A federal judge already ruled ballroom construction has to stop until Congress authorizes it.
Government is supposed to serve the people, not auction itself off to the highest bidder. When access goes to whoever pays the most, working families always end up paying the price.
We either end the corruption, or the corruption will end us.
Gaaaa I’m a try and post ask big shot either today or tomorrow
“why haven’t you’ve posted it??”
Keep getting bothered irl by this guy I hate and it was so bad I physically got ill and couldn’t do anything for a few days. I’m gonna try and cleanse myself or get rid of evils and hope I feel better….
Anyhow quick sketch
A spokesperson for Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says the PM and Defense Minister Israel Katz ordered to delay the release of the Palestinian prisoners set to be freed today in the deal with Hamas following the chaotic scenes during the release of the seven hostages in Khan Younis. Omer Dostri says the Palestinian prisoners won't be released "until the safe release of our hostages in the future releases is guaranteed." "Israel demands the mediators to achieve this," he adds.

Here's the Feb 20th Update:
A push by Republican attorneys general in 17 states — including South Dakota — to strike down part of a federal law that protects disabled p
Just some highlights of both (KSL.com) articles posted in a way I understood. As well as some AG comments that obviously show the prioritization of Trump's executive order over the CDC:
(FIRST SCREENSHOT IS A REFRESHER)
They don't want to enforce the Biden administrations laws in case Trumpy gets mad. A broken up Trump going through Biden's shit and throwing it out rn let him have his breakdown in front of grown adults who can do nothing apparently.
So no doctors excuses or medications, I can only imagine the accusations parents would get if allowed protection for healthcare across state lines what that would entail... Wow thanks definitely handled Derek Brown /s.
TW: Transphobia Below
It is stopping needs for children/teens, everyone knows this right? During puberty usually is the most distressing time for someones who's trans... You're profiling trans teens now... And they want to sit back and watch Trump bulldoze everything in weeks that it took years to fight for. Keep in mind this shit is against adding Biden's "Final Rule" under federal funding, but there's states who haven't entered yet or-
Dems on the fence who are cowards until pushed. So especially if your state isn't involved, get them so.
We push so hard they pull back enough to fully drop it (letting Trump cuck these Generals by allowing anything the president "says as law" therefore letting all said laws of his term be easily reversible afterwards) and force them to distance themselves and lose the pressure to deny all funds through this lawsuit.
Or they actually push it and exercise the checks and balances they oh so willingly want to hand over to this dictator while making sure Dems have a chance to fight this tooth and nail.
Even if your state isn't included it is just as important they see we include trans people in healthcare/disability rights. Especially remember to include the trans children that are going to be targeted just as they're figuring themselves out with this added pressure from the government and little protections until then.
Here's a call (can be used ofc for emails) script for the 504 lawsuit:
Republican Attorneys General are attacking a 50-year-old law that protects disability rights. Texas v. Becerra is a case in federal court br
Until this case is dropped there's a fight in hiding until they "decide" to bring it up again. That's a double edged sword, maybe 2 years? 1? When Trump's done? When he starts losing? We're ready and they know that now there's pushback when they want to start it. Until Trump is out of office though some of these bastards may not lift a finger..
So let's mess up their most recent plans. Time for Dems to react rather than resurrect something Republicans are sitting on comfortably anyway because of Trumpy so..

In mid-February, Trump administration leaders received a desperate warning from their diplomats posted in Vietnam, one of the most important American partners in Asia. Workers were in the middle of cleaning up the site of an enormous chemical spill, the Bien Hoa air base, when Secretary of State Marco Rubio abruptly halted all foreign aid funding. The shutdown left exposed open pits of soil contaminated with dioxin, the deadly byproduct of Agent Orange, which the American military sprayed across large swaths of the country during the Vietnam War. After Rubio’s orders to stop work, the cleanup crews were forced to abandon the site, and, for weeks, all that was covering the contaminated dirt were tarps, which at one point blew off in the wind. And even more pressing, the officials warned in a Feb. 14 letter obtained by ProPublica, Vietnam is on the verge of its rainy season, when torrential downpours are common. With enough rain, they said, soil contaminated with dioxin could flood into nearby communities, poisoning their food supplies. Hundreds of thousands of people live around the Bien Hoa air base, and some of their homes abut the site’s perimeter fence, just yards from the contaminated areas. And less than 1,500 feet away is a major river that flows into Ho Chi Minh City, population 9 million. “Simply put,” the officials added, “we are quickly heading toward an environmental and life-threatening catastrophe.” -They received no response from Washington, according to three people familiar with the situation.
