Helloooo
Your Cralt art was beautiful, can you draw something Haltine (Halt and Pauline)?? Pretty please?
To me, they are the most beautiful woman in the world and her cranky little boyfriend
My firm belief is that Will is the only one who didn't see the Haltine engagement coming.
Doomed by the narrative to lust over (mostly) short men
Listen I love craltine and I love haltine and I love tey craltine I do. I really do. But there is nothing quite as funny to me as tey Pauline looking at Halt and Crowley doing the things they did and just going....... hm........ surely he likes women
Like. It looks like this. To me
Ok, RA AU idea:
Modern au where the rangers are basically high level thieves (like million dollar art thieves, not regular old burglurers) and Will is their newest member, at age 18.
While he's on a heist with Halt, they're almost caught by a detective and the group of security guards with her. One of whom is Horace Altman, (who's the same age as Will obviously)
It would be enemies to lovers Oakleaf Knight/Willace, where the two slowly fall for each other over the course of multiple heists.
Also the previously mentioned detective? Pauline Dulacy. So while Will is going through his own little Enemies to lovers plot, so is Halt! (And Crowley too for all you Craltine fans out there)
And then, as the C plot, Alyss, Pauline's detective student, is working with Cassandra, one of the wealthy people who's been stolen from, to try and stop the heists, and is slowly finding that this wealthy Heiress isn't as stuck up as she first thought.
halt: holy hell, are you checking your email?
pauline: i get productive when i'm nervous!
I like to think adult Halt never outgrew his teenage awkwardness around Pauline, he just got better at hiding it.
Halt grumbled, crossing his arms, then uncrossing them, what should he do with his hands? “Thank you for your input Lady Pauline.” His hands eventually decided to rest on the table, twitching.
“Must you be so formal? You can just call me Pauline.”
“Well, right, Pauline.” heat crawled up the back of his neck, what should I say? “I suppose you’re right. You’re always right.” WHY DID I SAY THAT? he turned his face away to hide the blush. Quick fix it! “Well, actually you are wrong quite often.” Wait! Now she's going to think that we are insulting her! Quick compliment her! “But you’re so graceful about it.” … this is a disaster.
Pauline raised an eyebrow, “I see.”
Halts thoughts screamed, she hates me now! “by the way you look very nice in your-“ he gestured vaguely at her dress, “clothes.” That came out so wrong.
“Yes, I’m aware.” With that she swept away.
Halt didn’t need to look at Crowley to know he was barely holding back laughter, “Nice in your clothes.” He chortled.
Without looking Halt smacked the back of Crowley's head, face planting him into his coffee mug.
