Q. At the end of the story, amongst the main cast, what would the ranking be for how well Han Yoojin’s "Hush-a-Bye" + "There There" Skills works on each of them?
Among the main cast, it is more effective on children. Han Byeol has no resistance at all, so she falls asleep immediately, and Han Gyeol is also the type to fall under the skills' effect more easily. However, Han Seol's level of trust in Han Yoojin is lower and their stats are higher compared to the previous two, so it doesn't work well on them; Han Yubin is immune to mental skills due to innate characteristics.
After Han Byeol and Han Gyeol, the next is Han Yoohyun when in a safe environment. Since his Ability Stats have increased and he has become even closer in nature to 'Fire', he won’t fall under their effect if he’s on guard and in a state of viligance, but if he feels safe, he doesn't resist it ^^.
For other S-ranks too, the success rate increases only if they are basically in a safe state.
Bak Yerim, who is still young and affected by the "Nurterer" Title, is next in terms of the skills being effective, and Peace is also at a similar rank.
The skills tend to have relatively low effectiveness on self-reliant and mature adults. You can think of the rankings as something that change depending on the situation and mood.
Amongst the adults, the ones whom the skills will work the best on are Liette - who thinks the ability/opportunity to rest deeply is a good thing and whose sense of caution/guardedness against others is low; and Shishio - who thinks of Han Yoojin as a mother.
It would have been quite effective on Yoo Myeongwoo and Noah early in the work, but by the point of the end of the novel, the effectiveness has dropped in comparison.
Sung Hyunje will fall under the effect easily if he feels like it, but if he doesn't he would be close to immune.
Song Taewon has an attitude of resistance to rest or taking breaks and hence would resist the skills, but he would be likely to fall under the effect if targeted in state of heavily piled up and accumulated fatigue.
Moon Hyuna dislikes this kind of treatment itself, so it would be tricky to apply the skill to her.
*In Korean, the Skills in question are ones Yoojin gains later in the novel called 자장자장 (jajang-jajang) and 토닥토닥 (todak-todak), both names being onomatopoeia meaning Sleep-Sleep (implying soothing noise to put a baby to sleep) and Pat-Pat (implying gentle stroking or patting to comfort someone). MTL often translates the Skills to "Lullaby" and "Patting". These names are my particular take on the Skill names, as I don't think the skills have appeared in either webtoon or the novel translation yet. As the names imply, the Skills put people to sleep and calm them down respectively, being even more effective in combination, which is how they are usually used in canon.
Say hello to democracy~
