After a week of practicing kicking a wall hoping to get over my completely irrational fear of doing a handstand on the wall, I finally did it!! Several times!! In fact, in this photo I actually did a handstand without touching the wall for about 1-2 seconds 🙃
Ignoring my current state, these are what I was drilling on Thursday night (probably why my arms are so fatigued today). The idea is to make the alignment in a straight line handstand become more of a feeling and to get me to stop using my floor spotting as a crutch for balance. Hopefully doing these regularly will help me pass the 30 second mark in my freestanding work.
My coach says that this is the drill that got him past 1 minute. Honestly I’ll take 30 seconds for now 😂
