Nozomi's free time.
The bike Surge uses in Sonic Riders themed comic issues is a green version of the "Hang-On" bike that appears in all 3 Sonic Riders games.
The Hang-On bike, in turn, is based on the 1985 Sega arcade game of the same name, which was played by sitting on a big plastic motorcycle which you steered by shifting your body weight and tilting it side to side.
Yakuza fans may remember playing its sequel, Super Hang-On, in arcades in Yakuza 0.
Master System revamped.
'Sega Master System - 'Christmas''
[SMS] [USA] [VIDEO, COMMERCIAL] [1986]
"It was almost like the videogaming “old days” this June at CES. Atari was showing the 2600 and 7800, Nintendo's booth was crowded with eager gamers, and there was a new kid on the block--Sega showed its impressive Master System for the first time. Our initial reaction to the Sega showing was definitely positive, though we admit to a few reservations about the ability of the market to absorb THREE advanced game systems. Well, we're all for letting the game-buying public make their own decisions." ~Computer Entertainer, July 1986 (Vol. 05, #04)
