As if the rest of us here in AZ somehow didn't notice. Trust me, we all have. But that doesn't mean the #work stops. Its just a #circumstance... one that will soon change. Thinking about it is about as useless as a weatherman in #Phoenix. Too many times circumstances are #elevated to reasons to stop moving, to break #positive habits and ultimately hurt your #progress. In these moments, you have an #opportunity to do one of two things: self signal that you will not tolerate #excuses or self signal that you will. Anytime you use some rationale to avoid keeping your word to yourself, you are telling yourself that you can't #trust yourself. Self signaling your own weakness. This will tear at the fabric of your #identity making you believe your are incapable. But the opposite is also true... in times of #tough circumstance when you self signal that you're going to do the work anyway, hit that workout, or walk to the #gym in 100+ degree heat: You GAIN power. You feel more trust in your ability to rely on yourself. You #moveanyway. Ultimately, increasing your self #confidence. It starts with little things. The kid was told if he could wait for a while he could get 2 marshmallows instead of just one.
