Lunch with the Harkers:
Mina: *clears throat* "So, Jonathan, how has your time in Whitby been?"
Jonathan: "ough. God. There were so many thirsty men I had to satisfy."
Jack: *chokes on his tea*
Mina: *grins* "Yes, my dear?"
Jonathan: "They were big strong moving men all so wantonly imploring me to quench their thirst. You see, they'd been left high and dry with no reward for their hard work, and it was up to me to fulfill their dire needs if I was to call in a favour from them."
Jack: *flushed, hiding his face*
Jonathan: "I would say they were all good specimens of manhood. Unlike me, who is only a meek quiet little thing. Wouldn't you agree, Dr. Seward?"
Mina: *trying not to laugh* "That's enough, darling."
My first thought thanks to an old comment of yours: Jonathan Harker/Jack Seward, kissing with teeth
It doesn't take much to split his lip. Wind chapped and cold in the continental autumn, so far from London's warm and putrid embrace.
He can tell the very moment Harker's seeking tongue finds the split, foreign spit stinging as his tongue laves across the raw flesh revealed, smooth and coppery. Seward makes every reasonable effort not to moan, and fails. It burns unpleasantly, and he cannot pull back. Not for anything. Not even when Harker's teeth catch on a ragged edge and peels it away, fresh blood welling up to meet his conquest.
This time he yelps, undignified, and Harker swallows it, sucking Seward's loosed lip between his own, and pressing down so, so slowly with his incisors. First pressure, then heat, then slow blooming pain, until Seward goes still and limp, unwilling to breathe lest Harker tear his face in two.
When he finally stops, Harker's lips are wet and red and so very whole. Seward, as is his lot, is not so lucky. Perhaps their next hotel will be near a pharmacy of some repute. A salve will be in order.
Particularly if this is going to continue.
had a dream about the Dracula Ballet (probably because I haven't stopped thinking about it since I found out it existed, AKA yesterday morning) in which, on a stage, Jonathan had come home from something, leaned against his door, and kinda sunk in on himself. He had his cane, so I'm assuming my dream was set post-dracula but pre-lucy's death. Jack and Mina came in, dancing together, and reached their arms out to Jonathan to invite him to dance. He reaches back, but then pulled his hand away, shaking his head. Both Mina and Jack got really upset, and the stage got dark. They danced together, closing in on Jonathan, who panicked and tried to run, yanking on the door. it wouldn't open, and Jack and Mina got closer, coming together in a kiss (I think? it was very blurry for some reason) as they danced faster and faster. then they separated, and Dracula came up from the floor, pulling Jonathan towards him. The two danced, but it looked more like a chase, with Jack and Mina dancing around the pair, blocking Jonathan at every turn. Dracula and Jonathan got really close, Jonathan always reaching out to Mina, and at some point Jack and Mina rip off their faces, revealing themselves as Dracula's brides. Jonathan recoiled in horror, dancing between the trio as they closed in on him. and then he realized 'oh. I'm dancing. this can't really be happening.' He flew backwards towards the door, grabbed his cane, and shielded his face as the vampires descended upon him. the lights came back on and he was alone on stage, the only evidence that something had happened was Jonathan's ragged breathing.
Mina/Jack/Jonathan
Thanks for the ask! Loooove these guys. :D
What made you ship it? Definitely the analysis and various headcanons floating around in Dracula Daily, especially focused on Jack's obvious admiration for both the Harkers and then all sorts of ideas about how that might translate romantically/sexually. My first proper smutfic was about the three of them and I never looked back. ;)
What are your favorite things about the ship? The relationship dynamics are so tasty! I love writing Mina and Jonathan with sort of a good cop/bad cop dom dynamic, with Jack just happy to be included. Mina and Jack have a lot of rapport in canon, so I always try to bring that out, too.
Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship? I think I'm about as mainstream about this ship as any of the like ten of us who ship them are. ;)
(Send me a ship and I’ll answer three questions based on if I ship it or not.)
I think Jonathan should use his newfound box-of-dirt-and-man-tossing strength and boundless persistence to grasp Seward and crush him in his arms without regard for resistance and injury. I think it would fix him. loosen every muscle, leave him boneless, despite bruises and lacerations (and Jonathan gets to unleash some of his pent-up Everything too)
I agree so heartily. It's enrichment for both of them.
The kiss ficlets continue! Copied from an ask that had multiple submissions:
Your wish is my command! :) I decided to make it a post-canon fic featuring my ongoing desire to ship Jack/Mina/Jonathan.
(Send me a ship and a number and I'll write a kiss.)

A kiss... to gain something
Does it count as a threesome if one person is a ghost?
In an effort to clean out some of my older drafts, I give you this ficlet! It was inspired by an AU that animate-mush came up with where Jonathan died early on, and Mina ended up with Jack. However, Jonathan doesn't let a little thing like death keep him away from his beloved, and Ghost!Jonathan finds a way to possess Jack. This scene is from a scenario where all three of them have actually managed to communicate about this weird triad they've got going on.
