First Appearance:

He was shocked by the difference in the man. His hair had gone from steel gray to almost white in the last year or so. His face was thinner, bordering on gaunt, and though Zane was attributing much of it to his injuries, he was concerned by the lack of life in his father’s dark eyes. The only things that hadn’t changed were the impressive horseshoe mustache and the deep resonance of his voice.

My Cut & Run Universe Head Canons

Part 2: Side Characters

Here's where the fun begins.

Deuce Grady is Christopher Gorham to me, though I constantly want to cut his damn hair because my head canon for Deuce wouldn't wear a stubborn five year old boys hair, but whatever. He seems like he can pull of the suit and tie, but also the running around in the mud thing well and give Ty a run for his money in the trouble department.

Mara Grady is, hands down, Julie Walters (a.k.a. Molly Weasley) to me. She seems just as warm and loving as Mara, but I can totally picture her cutting off part of her husband's finger just because he was annoying her and in the way. Just, yes.

Earl Grady... I can picture him in my head perfectly when I'm reading, but I can't think of anyone that looks like him enough to show you. I also can't seem to picture him perfectly enough right now to really describe how I see him. Other than big, solid, with smile lines he probably doesn't use as much as he should.

Harrison Garrett is pretty much Sam Elliott to me. Though I picture him with darker hair when I read him.

Beverly Carter-Garrett is a combination of Meryl Streep and Carmen Dell'Orefice to me. I know, in canon she keeps her hair dyed black, but I only ever see her with white hair.

Julian Cross is Richard Armitage to me. Sometimes David Gandy, depending on what Julian is doing in the books, but mostly he's Richard to me. He fits perfectly into that "I could totally be a secret assassin that creeps people out even though I'm ridiculously pretty" vibe that Julian has. I love Julian.

Preston is, in my head, an older silver fox kind of guy. I have no idea how old canon Preston is and I don't really care, because he is one of the characters I can see and hear most vividly when I read him (Ty and Ash are the other two I can see and hear really well). Warren Kole is a decent younger version of Preston to me. Like he could be Preston at the age when he and Julian met. The bottom picture is how I see Preston dressed every time I read him, sans cigarette, but complete with leather driving gloves (handy for not leaving finger prints!) and super tailored black suit. I really, really fucking love Preston.

Corbin Porter. Why would I have a head canon for a character that was barely on page? Because. David Gandy is EASILY Corbin Porter to me (in addition to sometimes being Julian). Though his eye color is completely wrong, every other thing just screams Corbin to me.

... he studied Corbin Porter. The man was… arrogant. That was the word Zane was looking for. Arrogant. And possibly vain as well, but only to the point of knowing he was a fine-looking man.

He was also confident and controlled. He had propped one ankle over the opposite knee as he sat casually at the table, one forearm resting on the edge. He wasn’t fidgeting or twitching. Ash Lucroix from The Gravedigger's Brawl. This Fellow on LookBook.nu and Tumblr is very, very close to how I see Ash (especially in the bottom right picture). My Ash head canon has black hair though. Also, I can totally see him wearing Zana Bayne leather harnesses in addition to his trademark suspenders.

Earl, Mara, Harrison and Beverly: What would you think if Ty and Zane said they want to adopt a child?

Earl: Same thing I thought when Deacon told us they were expecting. ‘Oh God, not another one.’

Harrison: I’d be surprised. Zane’s not all too fond of kids.

Chester and Harrison, Do you have any other siblings? Where are they now?

Harrison - do you ever talk to Beverly about Zane or is he pretty much off-limits to talk about now?

I tried to a couple times, but she still needs to let the subject settle.
