maybe this is an unpopular opinion but I’m not a fan of how harry goes back to calling herself harriet in ep 1, it kind of goes against (at least from my perspective) the revelation she had about herself and the world around her
for years she insisted that her name was harry winter, and that harriet did not fit her. she was cool, fun, relaxed, not to be confused with the harriet of her past. her understanding and acknowledgment of the good she does in the unseen world should only bolster that idea that she is cool, because she is! and so she no longer needs to convince herself that it’s true. she’s cool, she’s harry flippin winter
when she went back to harriet I just kind of felt a blow in my chest of reverting into what other people want from her, settling into a self that she isn’t. which feels quite different from what she was dealing with. she was settling, sure, but settling into an incredible job that inspired and helped and aided so many patrons of the unseen world— settling for her cool self
so I suppose it was to show that she didn’t have to try so hard to convince herself that she was cool by going by a nickname, but it felt so out of character to me, especially since she referred to herself as harry the whole time, that’s who she is, she’s harry, and it’s the only moment in that episode that feels kind of eh to me
