I love all the ways Miguel embodies Miyagi-Do values without even being trained that way. His heart, moral compass, loyalty and willingness to learn reflects what Mr. Miyagi worked so faithfully to instill in Daniel. He's a genuinely good kid.

7. What is the most important part or a book, in your opinion?

the first thing that came to mind was the characters… They’re relationships with others, their development… All that jazz.

It sounded good and it’s a love story and I’m trash so

Probably something like Eleanor T. Bishop Frankenstein the 15th

11. What book fandom do you affiliate yourself with the most?

The hunger games. As a senior in high school I’m still recognized by family and friends as the resident hunger games expert.

12. Tell one book story or memory (what you were wearing when you were reading something, someone saw you cry in public, you threw a book across the room and broke a window, etc.)

I was sitting in a fast food place while my mom had a doctors appointment, listening to the Fault In Our Stars on audiobook… I had never read it before and even though I’m pretty sure I already knew what would happen, I got to the part where… Well, yknow. I was sobbing and heaving, and when we left a nice McDonald’s employee asked if I was okay. I was not.

13. What character would be your best friend in real life?

im very clumsy, goofy and loyal, so id like to say Percy Jackson and I’d get along well… On the other hand, maybe I need a sensible person, so, Elizabeth Bennet, sass queen, maybe?

14. Favorite item of book merch.

I love my signed Sarah Dessen book; I also love the Hunger Games shirt I have from 7th grade that still fits me.

WHY is every single contemporary book labeled the ~best~ and so ~beautiful~ like most of these books read like crappy fan fiction

17. What do you think about movie/tv adaptations?

It always depends. I loved the Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, and the Hunger Games movies, but I’m definitely not a fan of the Percy Jackson, The Martian, and Divergent movies. (Though, if you can separate the movies and the books, I do like the individual movies!)
