#life#like idk man i feel like it all shifted when peeps from other sm websites showed up here#and half the tumblr veterans left during the 2018 exodus#but the fact that people don't really reblog anything anymore#and even those with tens of thousands of notes on their posts have 10/1 like/reblog ratio AT BEST#is just depressing#and i feel ike there's been a cultural shift too where people need to go through an elaborate checklist to justify reblogging stuff#like is it aesthetically pleasing? is it part of my fandom? is this not rude to reblog (which is??????????)#if someone doesn't want something reblogged they can disable reblogs wdym#gone are the days of people hitting the reblog limit lol#i still remember dash being just alive and brimming like 10 years ago#and constantly finding new cool things outside of my scope that i would then reblog#because yeah! that's how this whole thing works#reblogging keeps things alive reblogging introduces you and your followers to new stuff#just.. reblog for the love of god#i say this as i myself am making a more conscious effort than before to just.. add stuff i like to my queue#i got a bit wrapped up in 'i gotta properly tag and organize!' game and with my adhd brain i'd nope out quickly#but i'm kinda returning back to my olden days where tagging was like.. a perk and not a pre-requisite#and i'm honestly having more fun with it again#because i don't need to think up of a category and a tag for a stupid shitpost lol#no pressure just vibes
