Read some Hawkman yesterday on a whim. I think I like Gentleman Ghost as a villain who's also part of the reincarnation cycle. You know that one text post that's like "Two souls fated to reincarnate and fall in love and then there's the third guy who's also there?" That's the vibe.

very annoying reading comics that often feature a male and a female superhero and the female superhero is pretty much always portrayed as less capable of resolving the plot, and the very best you get is 'her competence is acknowledged verbally before she's swiftly removed from the scene to focus on the guy' (Kevin smith's GA) and its much more likely the writers don't even try to pretend she's the same level of competence (Hawkman 2002, Mike Grell's GA)
