A quick text had been shot out right after Brandon had finished up with his last run to the recycling centre. These next few plastic flamingos were going to serve a whole different purpose, one in which he had promised to Hayley; so whatever she had planned, they were all hers. The drive over went a little smoother than anticipated, and he feared that he may have been a bit early, but as Brandon glanced down towards the stereo system, he noticed that he was right on time. Pulling the Chevy towards the curb, Brandon shift the truck into park, and retrieved his cell once more.

Korra felt giddy as she sat at the bar in Carousel and waited for Hayley. Sure it was a bit weird that she was meeting a stranger, especially since she doesn’t much know how Hayley looks. The old fashion way of meeting through the wrong text seemed fun to her and she was excited to see who was on the other end of the phone. Korra quickly looked down at her denim dress, to make sure the zipper that ran through the whole length was zipped jut the way she liked it. The brunette then looked at the menu, slightly overpriced drinks but she was used to not paying at all so this won’t drain her bank account. She also noted the small print on the menu saying it’s an open mic night today, that could be fun she thought. Flipping the menu over she quickly glanced at her phone before darting her eyes at the door to see if the person who just entered is Hayley.

With the rather large canvas on the floor of his garage, Brandon was a little too preoccupied. He wanted to gather a few new pieces for either his house, or maybe even the barbershop. And with too many ideas fumbling around his brain, he figured it would just be easier to test them out before making the jump. That way, any indecisiveness wouldn’t have forced his smaller frames into waste. 

Shaking the spraycan, feeling that it was already running low, Brandon noticed something out of his peripherals-- a figure. More than likely his neighbour; he thought he recognized the face somehow. 

“Hey, hi, sorry--” He mustered up, finally getting up from the floor to walk on over, “Were the fumes sneaking over to your place? My bad-- I can shut the door.”

Brandon bobbed his way through the crowd of people, fighting to get towards the bar. Another drink was in order, or really-- it was needed. No plans to get absolutely trashed, but for something as grandiose as this, he had to loosen up slightly. “Can I get another one of those specialty cocktails please--” With hands set on top of the bar, having leaned in slightly to politely yell his need, Brandon glanced to his side, noticing a familiar stature, “-- Took a break from sculpting to come out tonight, huh?”

Brandon had lugged in a considerable piece of utter junk into the studio— though, it was something he knew Hayley could probably make use of ( hence him texting her a picture earlier on in the day ). It wasn’t anything remarkable, just a large slate of steel. “So, yeah, I found this in the back alley behind the shop— I dunno who was tossing it, but, yeah, here you go. Make something cool outta it.”

Karen is Emma’s therapist she started seeing in March of last year. Her once-a-week sessions do not come cheap, and her office is in Mid City a.k.a traffic jam hell when Emma has to return home, but the peace of mind she’s given Emma is more than worth it. 

Emma was referred to her by a King Ink client, one she’s eternally grateful for.

Karen works with Emma for practical solutions to deal with her anxiety and c-PTSD.

Emma’s mother jokes that she’s losing her daughter to Karen whenever they talk, because Emma brings her up so much.
