okay, honestly, Katniss screams aromantic to me. Even with kissing Gale willingly or whatever. She kissed him to comfort him/herself. She does love him and care about him and wants him to be okay; however, there was no passion, or "god I can't help myself" feeling to it. If you replaced it with a mother kissing his forehead, it would've looked exactly the same. Comforting.

This is why she chooses Peeta, in the end. He will always be in a pain she understands, so she will always love him in a way she doesn't understand. She chooses him because even if she can't be in love with him, she will always love him, even if its not like he loves her.
